What does 2011 hold in store for you?

Who can resist a sneak peek into the future, or some insight into what the year ahead holds? Astrology is quite a hot topic in the Mamamia office and there has been much speculation about predictions and star signs, so we could not resist this look into 2011 from journalist turned astrologer,  Yasmin Boland

ARIES

A lot of the main developments for you in 2011 will be all about your working life. The January 4 New Moon eclipse is taking place in one of the best possible places for you – your 10^th House, which is the part of your chart which deals with your career. If you love your work but want to tweak your career direction, now is the moment to take action. Speak to the powers-that-be, find out what you need to study to get the right qualifications, etc. And if you’re happy in your work, the eclipse is still going to boost you – your professional stocks are about to soar. Hate your job? It’s time to do something about that. Really.

TAURUS

2011 is going to be all about you expanding your mind and your horizons. If you’ve been feeling trapped by the minutiae of life, that can change now. The New Year begins with a New Moon eclipse (heralding beginnings and opportunities) in your Mind Expansion. If what you really want to do is pack your cases and head off into the blue yonder, the Stars are on your side. Ditto if you want to stay where you are but you still want to expand your horizons through study, reading, new ideas, new ventures and new friends. This period is not about getting bogged down in the details, it’s about seeing the big picture of what you want. Go with your heart and explore your options. 2011 is also very good for you re study and publishing. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

GEMINI

You might be interested to hear that 2011 kicks off with some very powerful energy in your Sex Zone! How do you feel about your current 9 to 5 set up? Hopefully you want change because that’s what’s forecast for you in 2011. There are changes afoot in the way you spend your days. For some a whole career direction will mean that your daily routines are altered forever. For others, it’s just going to be minor tweaks to your current situation. If you’re not happy with your job description and duties, NOW is a very good time to approach your boss with an idea for how it could be made to work better. There are some powerful energies around at the start of 2011 and they could well leave you better off financially than you have been in a while.
