We here at Mamamia LOVE our food. A lot.

No really, we don’t think you understand how much.

Ideally, for the purposes of the following opportunity, you will not only like your food, you will almost be in love with it. In fact, you won’t just be in love with it, you will share an almost unnatural affinity for it.

You watch Masterchef and My Kitchen Rules religiously, you have enough Jamie Oliver and Australian Women’s Weekly cookbooks to rent them out like a library and now it’s time to take the next step and bring your amazing home cooking to the masses.

And this is why we need you!

Why? We’re glad you asked.

Together with our good friends at Rachel’s Gourmet Low Fat Yoghurt we are launching Food Blogger Idol. Sounds kind of exciting huh? That’s because it IS. The winner of Mamamia Food Blogger Idol wins a 3 month contract (one paid and published post per week) as Mamamia’s New Food Blogger.

To be crowned the dedicated Food Blogger for Mamamia and be read and shared by potential millions, all you need to do is create a unique recipe with a specific ingredient, one that we will share with you below.

The core ingredient.

And, apart from the fact that it’s actually pretty easy to enter, we also get to introduce you all to the beautiful and foodie inspired low fat yoghurts from Rachel’s, this  will be the key and only mandatory ingredient in the dish you create and write about as your entry.

The great news is that Rachel’s Gourmet Low Fat Yoghurt comes in the following delicious flavours: Black Plum & Roasted Fig, Peaches & Vine Ripe Passionfruit, Mango & Madagascan Vanilla, and Wild Strawberry & Rhubarb

Seriously, it’s foodie heaven. The sort of scrumptious things you’re going to invent with it is the stuff of mouth-watering, drool-worthy dreams.

So, to enter the competition: Simply incorporate Rachel’s Gourmet Low Fat Yoghurt in your unique recipe, blog about it, being sure to include the recipe details and a dedicated photo journal catching you in action, send it in and voila, you’re in the running.

The top 5 finalists posts will go live at the same time, on the same day, allowing the public to vote on their one favourite blogger and or dish over that week.

At the end of the voting week, the person with the most votes will be awarded a 3 month contract to write one food post a week and become Mamamia’s official new Food Blogger.

Rachel’s Gourmet Low Fat Yoghurts are a more considered combination of flavours and to be honest, we’ll be surprised if you don’t eat your ingredients before they even make it into your amazing dish (Mango and Madagascan Vanilla – My God, I can’t even explain how good this is).

It’s your time to shine Foodies!
