There is a reason you should stop biting your nails, and it’s got nothing to do with that thing your Nana told you about a public toilet seat.
A new study conducted by the University of Montreal has revealed that chewing on those digits of yours, and other such compulsive behaviours, may provide an indication of some interesting personality traits.

The study centres on “body-focused repetitive behaviors,” or BFRBs. They are defined as “repetitive, injurious, and non-functional habits that cause significant distress or impairment, including hair-pulling, skin-picking, and nail-biting.”
