Readers of Australian tabloid magazine Woman’s Day have taken to social media to voice their anger over their latest cover.
The magazine’s lead story in this week’s issue suggests that Bec and Lleyton Hewitt‘s marriage is over, with the headline reading, “Bec and Lleyton’s $125 divorce shock!”
Yet, it was six months ago that the same magazine reported Bec and Lleyton were expecting another child, stating that a new baby was ‘healing’ the relationship between the ‘feuding’ Hewitts.
So it comes as no surprise that readers simply aren't buying it. "Wow! I'm shocked! Considering about a month ago they had such joy because they were having another baby," one commenter wrote.
Others suggested that the magazine have a vendetta against the Hewitt family.
Some of the comments read:
"Really! No wonder I don't buy your magazines, stop putting false rubbish out! Put positive informative useful ideas in your magazine, and then I would consider buying it!"
"Why is Woman's Day so intent on destroying the Hewitts? What did they ever do to you?"
"Woman's Day if I were Bec and Lleyton I would sue you. You're pathetic."
"So sad you plug away at the Hewitts, let them live their life without all the bulls..."
This isn't the first time Woman's Day have suggested the pair are heading for divorce. The magazine also reported in August of last year that the Hewitt's relationship was 'over' following the suggestion that romance was lacking in their relationship and that the couple were at breaking point.
Following yet another story that recounted the pair having a public meltdown, Lleyton felt the need to voice his side of the story on his website. "Woman’s Day have over stepped the mark again! In this week’s edition they have again manufactured a story and we have had enough," Lleyton wrote.
