Mia writes: welcome to a sponsored post from HEINZ BEANZ® and your chance to win $10,000 in the What do HEINZ BEANZ® mean to you competition. I’ll hand you straight over to Lana to tell you more.
My life at the moment can be measured in degrees of Masterchef. When I am not watching it I’m either thinking about it or playing it. Watching other people cook and enjoy food has given my child a whole new perspective on eating. He is not averse to donning a makeshift cravat and giving my food the Matt Preston treatment. He eyes it carefully, tastes it willingly and chews it slowly and thoughtfully. I can even handle it when my “score” is low (and believe me it is often lower than the decimal system provides for) because I just I love it when he eats at all – and when he enjoys his food, it’s heaven.
Truth be told he is impossible when it comes to eating which is why everything that I feed him needs to be carefully thought out, it could well be the last thing he eats in a day, even if it’s breakfast. It is because of this that he was more or less brought up on baked beans. HEINZ BEANZ® are 99% fat free, high in protein, high in dietary fibre, low GI, low in saturated fat, low in sugar, a source of iron, a great source of folate (a water-soluble B vitamin that occurs naturally in food) and lycopene (an antioxidant compound). That is pretty much all the incentive I needed to get him munching on baked beans but add to that mix that you can prepare a dinner of baked beans on toast and only have one plate to wash up? I was sold .
