Hamish Blake is a two-time Gold Logie winner, having picked up the trophy in 2012 for Hamish and Andy's Gap Year and in 2022 for Lego Masters.
Now, he's nominated once again for the coveted award at the 2025 TV WEEK Logie Awards. But here's the thing: he doesn't want to win. And his wife, Zoë Foster Blake, certainly doesn't want him to either.
"I love my darling husband and very proud of his Gold Logie nom," she shared in an Instagram post ahead of the awards show. "THAT SAID, would also be delighted if one of the six women he's up against win cos it's their turn now and idk three Gold Logies feels like maybe too many?"
She added the hashtags "true love" and "supportive" to her post.
In fairness, Hamish is right there with her on this topic. He's the only male nominee in this year's list, going up against Poh Ling Yeow, Ally Langdon, Julia Morris, Sonia Kruger, Lynne McGranger and Lisa Millar.
The comedian released his own statement shortly after he was nominated, telling fans that he did not want their votes this year.
"Hi, Hamish Blake here, and as you know I'm the only guy in the running, and therefore it would not be a great look if I won," he told Nine Entertainment shortly after nominations were revealed.
"So just organise, figure out your favourite lady and get right behind her... Don't vote for me."
Voting remains open until 10:30pm AEST tonight, just shy of the big reveal. And it seems we all have our fingers crossed that Hamish Blake walks away a loser this year.
