The Young Mummy Sophie Cachia has given birth to a baby girl and her name is gorgeous.

After what feels like way too many months of waiting, Sophie Cachia – AKA The Young Mummy – has finally given birth, welcoming a beautiful baby girl into the world late on Saturday evening.

The baby, named Betty Cachia, is the second baby for Sophie and husband Jaryd, who are already parents to two-year-old boy Bobby.

After 40 weeks of pregnancy, Cachia made it known that she was more than ready to welcome baby number two.

The 26-year-old Snapchatted her labour in real time, with thousands of followers tuning in on Saturday to watch her 14-hour ordeal. It was long, it was arduous, it was truly unforgettable viewing.

But it was one image, shared just before 11pm, that made it all worthwhile.

On an image of Jaryd and the new baby, Cachia wrote "Introducing B2. Mum and Bub all ok. Has been a long day - will see you all tomorrow xxx."

Documenting the pregnancy across her social media channels and popular blog throughout the nine-month-period, Cachia had said she was committed to keeping the sex of the baby a secret but admitted to Mamamia in October that Bobby was convinced he was getting a little sister.

"He rubs my belly and says 'Hello little sister,'" she said. "I haven't prompted him to do that ... he always says, 'Not my brother, that's my sister!'"

Either way, we couldn't be happier for the growing gang. Congratulations, guys!
