Today is the most positive day of the year for good reason.

March 1 is World Compliment Day and organisers have dubbed it “the most positive day of the year”.

Never heard of it? Right up there with World Egg Day – the crackiest day of the year?

Well, it doesn’t matter because we think it’s wonderful to have a day to remind us all about the positive power of taking a few seconds to tell someone that particular shade of green they’re wearing makes their eyes pop.

Really, that green does make your eyes pop. And we think it’s really cute the way you scrunch and wriggle your nose a little when you read Mamamia. Oh, and you have a lovely smile.

Everyone loves getting a compliment.

But what’s even better is giving one.

That’s what we are going to do today – shower the people we love with compliments.
