The FBI’s top 10 Most Wanted list is reserved for the most violent, high-risk criminals who are still nowhere to be found. It’s not typically the kind of list a young 24-year-old newspaper delivery woman ends up on.
But she has – and she’s only the tenth woman ever to have been added.
Shanika S. Minor of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the US has been described by the FBI as being “armed and extremely dangerous”. She is wanted over the murder of a 23-year-old pregnant woman and her unborn child.
The victim was Tamecca Perry. She was Shanika’s former high school classmate and her mother’s neighbour. She was just five days away from her due date.
On the night of her murder, Shanika allegedly started an argument with Tamecca after Shanika’s mother had complained to her that she played her music at unreasonable times.
She was allegedly waving a handgun from the footpath outside her apartment and challenging her to a fight.
Shanika’s mother intervened and after firing her gun into the air, she drove away.
It didn’t end there. Shanika returned to Tamecca’s home at 3am and her mother was not able to stop her.
