A new season of Will & Grace is officially coming our way.

It was only one of the greatest television sitcoms of all time and honestly, yes, we’re still a little upset that Will & Grace left our screens in 2006.

But not anymore because WILL & GRACE IS OFFICIALLY RETURNING, you guys.

After months of speculation and misleading tweets from Debra Messing, the return was confirmed on Thursday when NBC dropped its first trailer for the upcoming season.

And yes, we can confirm that the whole band – Will, Grace, Karen and Jack – is back together.

“We’re thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and most defining comedies in NBC history is coming back,” NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said following the announcement.

“This groundbreaking series for everything from gay rights to social and political commentary — all disguised as a high-speed train of witty pop culture — is coming back where it belongs.”

NBC Entertainment’s president Jennifer Salke agreed, saying, “We started talking with [Max] Mutchnick and [David] Kohan (the original showrunners) about producing new episodes right after they shot the secret reunion show back in September. And the fact that all four of the original stars were excited about getting back into production is a testament to the joyful experience they had doing nearly 200 episodes for eight seasons. Few things cut through the clutter these days, especially in comedy, and ‘Will & Grace’ is one of the best.”

Rumours about the show’s return after a ten year hiatus first surfaced last year when Debra Messing  (who played Grace on the show) posted the happy reunion snap for her fans on Facebook. We’re not crying, you’re crying.

There was also a snap of just Will and Grace hugging, with Debra commenting that he “still smelt the same”. STOP. WE CAN’T HANDLE THE LOVE.

Fans were just as happy to see the original cast back together, flooding the actress’ photos with exited comments.

“I have been having a really [crappy] week and this just filled my [heart] with joy. What do we have to do to get this show back on the air. The [world] needs more laughter,” wrote one fan.

Another commented that he show “made it okay to laugh and be ourselves….be that gay, lesbian, bi, tran, straight”.

“Will & Grace helped me feel more comfortable with myself at a young age and I’m eternally grateful for its impact on my relationship with my family,” said another.

So get your ‘Just Jack’ hands ready, grab some fabulous Karen-inspired sunglasses and get set for the pending binge.
