After almost two decades on air, The Ellen DeGeneres Show has officially come to an end.
Earlier this week, the final episode of the daytime talk show aired with celebrity guests including Jennifer Aniston, Billie Eilish and Pink.
"Twenty years ago, when we were trying to sell the show, no one thought that this would work. Not because it was a different kind of show, but because I was different," DeGeneres said.
She went on to explain that when the show kicked off in 2003, she was prevented from saying the word "gay" or even the pronoun "we" as it would have implied she had a partner.
