The #Tradwife movement has been having a moment online for quite some time now.
From Ballerina Farm to Lex Delarosa, many female content creators have been posting in an aesthetic that is very '50s housewife — promoting a very hetero-normative traditional outlook on gender, femininity, and a woman's role in the home.
And if you've been following the movement, you'll know that there's one creator who's become the poster girl for the entire aesthetic, and her name is Nara Smith.
Take a scroll through Smith's TikTok and Instagram feeds and you'll find her doing one of three things — cooking from scratch, or sharing 'what I cooked for my husband today' or 'what my toddlers ate today' videos — all while looking immaculate and embodying very traditionally 'feminine' ideals.
But it's the recent revelation about her marriage that's really got people talking.
In a newly-posted TikTok video, Smith and her husband Lucky Blue Smith shared some of the "unspoken rules" in their relationship, in which Lucky stated that he doesn't let Nara drive when he's present.
"One thing I do is I drive no matter what. I really get bothered when I see girls driving a guy. I don't know why. I just don't like it," he said.
Nara confirmed she doesn't even "try" to take the wheel when her husband is around.
The admission has sparked intense debate online, and prompted people to question whether this dynamic represents genuine traditional values, or whether it could point to something more concerning about their relationship.
