Brad Pitt's timing for debuting his new relationship is very telling.

Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon have touched down in Italy ahead of the premiere of his new movie, Wolfs, at the 81st Venice International Film Festival. 

The actor, 60, and the 34-year-old jewellery designer were first photographed holding hands as they crossed the F1 British Grand Prix racetrack back in July and they've just walked the red carpet hand-in-hand. 

For their red carpet debut, the couple were photographed alongside Pitt's co-star George Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney.

With his ex-wife Angelina Jolie also attending the film festival in Venice this year, punters were bracing themselves for any potential run-ins. 

Thankfully this was avoided, but Pitt making his red carpet debut with Ramon did distract from Jolie's first film role in years. The actress was in Venice to debut her Oscar-buzzy biopic, Maria, in which she portrays iconic opera singer Maria Callas.

Pitt and Jolie have famously been stuck in frequent court battles ever since the Maleficent actress filed for divorce back in 2016. In the years since, Pitt has reportedly become estranged from his six children: Shiloh, Vivienne, Knox, Maddox, Pax and Zahara.

In recent weeks, Shiloh filed to legally drop her father's surname.

Pitt and de Ramon were rumoured to have started dating in November 2023, however, a source recently told People the couple have been together over a year.

"It’s more of a serious relationship than just dating," they said, adding that they have since moved in together.

"Brad loves so many things about her. She's great for him."

Who is Ines de Ramon?

Ines de Ramon has found success on her own. She's a jewellery designer and the vice president of Los Angeles-based jewellery brand Anita Ko.

Rumours about her relationship with Brad Pitt began late last year when sources said that the pair had connected while she was working with Pitt. 

Then they were spotted together at a Bono concert in November, with the 60-year-old actor introducing de Ramon to his friends including Cindy Crawford.

How long have Ines de Ramon and Brad Pitt been together?

Pitt and de Ramon were first linked in November 2022 following the Bono concert in Los Angeles. By that point, PEOPLE confirmed the couple had been "dating for a few months".

In December 2022, the designer attended a Hollywood restaurant for Pitt's 59th birthday party and also attended the premiere party for his film Babylon. 

"They were very cute and flirty. You could tell that she makes him happy," an insider told PEOPLE at the time.

The pair even spent New Year's Eve and the days that followed, together on a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Their relationship is Pitt's third since his split from Jolie in 2016. 

He was previously linked to Emily Ratajkowski (whom he was reportedly seeing until just weeks before he is thought to have met de Ramon) and Nicole Poturalski.

Who has Ines de Ramon dated previously?

Before Pitt, de Ramon was married to Paul Wesley, who found fame in The Vampire Diaries, where he played Stefan Salvatore. 

They went public with their relationship in June 2018, and made it Instagram official just a month later, attending a wedding in Montauk with actors Jessica Szohr and Nina Dobrev.

In February 2019, it was rumoured the pair were married after they were seen wearing matching wedding bands, but it was officially confirmed in June of that year when Dobrev referred to de Ramon as Wesley's "wife".

"We hang out a lot. We're really good friends. I love his wife. It's so funny how time changes everything because I never thought he would be one of my best friends," Dobrev said at the time.

In September 2022, after three years of marriage, news outlets confirmed the pair had quietly split up.

"The decision to separate is mutual and occurred five months ago. They request privacy at this time," a rep told PEOPLE.
