A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story

Ruth Ellis was a young Welsh nightclub manager and mother of two who became one of the most notorious figures in British crime history.

In early 1950s London, Ruth met David Blakely, a racing driver. Their relationship quickly became volatile and abusive, with Blakely often physically assaulting Ruth — even causing a miscarriage.

On Easter Sunday, 1955, Ruth waited for him outside a pub in Hampstead, London. When Blakely exited the pub, Ruth called his name and fired a revolver, killing him instantly.

Starring Lucy Boynton as Ruth, with incredible performances by Toby Jones and Laurie Davidson, the series delves into Ellis's toxic relationships and the harsh judgment she faced despite what she endured.

This story is told in immaculate detail with nuanced acting, making it the perfect watch for fans of historical drama with a feminist twist.

Below Deck Down Under

Ahoy maties!

Set against the dazzling backdrop of the Seychelles, Season 3 of Below Deck Down Under brings back (the eternally dreamy) Captain Jason Chambers, the chaotic chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph and loveable deckhand Harry Van Vliet, alongside fresh faces like Chief Stew Lara Rigby and Bosun Wihan Du Toit.

Highlights include the deck crew beaching a tender during a pirate-themed beach day, leaving guests stranded and Captain Jason fuming. Then there's a bunch of boat-mances blossoming, with Harry potentially finding his happily-ever-after at long last.

But the most drama came from Lara and Tzarina, two longtime friends who clashed constantly throughout the season. It got messy!
