We're talking limited series, buzzy new releases, nostalgic favourites — basically, an abundance of stuff that'll have you sorted for weeks.

The Crow Girl

Along the way, they uncover dark secrets and police corruption. Oop! And the impressive supporting cast includes Dougray Scott and Clara Rugaard.

The six-episode series — based on the internationally bestselling Swedish crime novel authored by Erik Axl Sund — has received critical acclaim for its gripping pace, sharp writing and powerhouse performances.

If you're looking for a binge-worthy show like Broadchurch but with the darker tone of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, then this is a must-watch.

A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story

Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story is a gripping four-part drama that revisits the tragic case of Ruth Ellis, the last woman executed in Britain.

Ruth Ellis was a young Welsh nightclub manager and mother of two who became one of the most notorious figures in British crime history.

In early 1950s London, Ruth met David Blakely, a racing driver. Their relationship quickly became volatile and abusive, with Blakely often physically assaulting Ruth — even causing a miscarriage.

On Easter Sunday, 1955, Ruth waited for him outside a pub in Hampstead, London. When Blakely exited the pub, Ruth called his name and fired a revolver, killing him instantly.

Starring Lucy Boynton as Ruth, with incredible performances by Toby Jones and Laurie Davidson, the series delves into Ellis's toxic relationships and the harsh judgment she faced despite what she endured.

This story is told in immaculate detail with nuanced acting, making it the perfect watch for fans of historical drama with a feminist twist.

Ahoy maties!

Set against the dazzling backdrop of the Seychelles, Season 3 of Below Deck Down Under brings back (the eternally dreamy) Captain Jason Chambers, the chaotic chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph and loveable deckhand Harry Van Vliet, alongside fresh faces like Chief Stew Lara Rigby and Bosun Wihan Du Toit.

Highlights include the deck crew beaching a tender during a pirate-themed beach day, leaving guests stranded and Captain Jason fuming. Then there's a bunch of boat-mances blossoming, with Harry potentially finding his happily-ever-after at long last.

But the most drama came from Lara and Tzarina, two longtime friends who clashed constantly throughout the season. It got messy!

Come for the stunning views of East Africa, but stay for the non-stop drama.

A new episode of Below Deck: Down Under drops weekly on 7plus.

Dirty John

Based on the hugely popular podcast, Dirty John is a gripping true crime series that unpacks the harrowing romance between real-life interior designer Debra Newell (Connie Britton) and the dangerously charming John Meehan (Eric Bana).

As Debra is swept up in a whirlwind romance, her daughters increasingly suspect John is not who he claims to be.

With standout performances from Bana, Britton, along with Julia Garner and Juno Temple as daughters Terra and Veronica, this show is addictive viewing and will keep viewers hooked to the final shocking minute.

While you're here, don't miss Season 2 (also available to watch on 7plus), which dives into the infamous Betty Broderick case — which is just as enthralling, like seriously.

The series — based on Giles Blunt's best-selling novels — immerses the viewer in a gritty mystery set against stunning landscapes.

Cardinal aired for four seasons from 2017 to 2020, with a total of 24 episodes.

The show begins with Cardinal returning from demotion to investigate the murder of a missing Indigenous girl. Delorme, initially tasked with watching over Cardinal, gradually forms a deep bond with him.

Each season focuses on a different case, delving into a range of crimes set against the stark northern landscape. The series delicately captures grief, guilt and redemption, culminating in a gripping final season.
