We’ve had no shortage of viral beauty trends. Recently we’ve seen people using dangerous things to plump their lips, “baking” their faces and clown contouring, but the latest one making the rounds on social media may just be the most practical idea yet.
Say hello to multi-masking.
The idea is simple – instead of doing just one mask, you do several, with the idea that you can choose masks that are designed to target a specific area.

I’m kicking myself for not having thought of this first. While I’m always interested to watch these trends from afar, multi-masking is one bandwagon I’ll be jumping on IMMEDIATELY.
And this is for three genius reasons.
1. It’s a time saver
I barely find enough time to do anything outside of the regular remove makeup-and-cleanse routine, so the idea that I can essentially give my face a series of spa-worthy treatments and facials in one go? A winner.
All you need is about 15 to 20 minutes. (I decided my lunch break was the right time for this and seriously scared our Deputy Editor-in-Chief Kate Spies when I turned round with a multi-coloured face!) (Post continues after gallery.)

It’s also great if you’re like me and have a backlog of products you’ve bought but never get round to using – here you can kill multiple birds with one stone.

2. It’s essentially a tailored facial.
Like most people, no two areas of my face are the same. I suffer from a dehydrated T-zone, large pores on my cheeks, acne on my chin and blackheads around my mouth.
