Welcome to Mamamia’s art endeavour, the Voulez-Vous Project. Every week we celebrate emerging artists, designers, illustrators, creators and women who knit using their vaginas. (Kidding. Maybe.)
The aim: to make the internet a slightly more beautiful, captivating, or thought-provoking place. To find out more about the Voulez-Vous project, click here.
This week the Voulez-Vous project is featuring a series of artists, who will be exhibiting at the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair from the Friday 8 August to Sunday 10 August.
The exhibition will feature works from over 40 community owned art centres around Australia, and art lovers will be able to meet and talk to the participating Indigenous artists in workshops. There will also be artistic demonstrations to show off their vibrant culture and traditional dance performances.
DAAF Foundation Chair, Franchesca Cubillo, explains, “The Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair showcases the rich culture and identity of Indigenous Australians and gives visitors the opportunity to experience truly living art through experiences that encourage them to touch and feel the raw, authentic fabric of our rich culture.”
