Last weekend, I received a DM asking for recommendations for spring jackets.

And I get it: we're in that awkward part of the season where it's not quite warm enough for bare arms, but our winter coats are too warm. So we need a lightweight option to throw on for the chill.

A sporty shell jacket from Uniqlo recently went viral, thanks to its wearability and affordable price point.

TikTok creator Ellenbrockygirl called it "the coolest jacket ever" — and I'm inclined to agree.

While a windbreaker might be something you associate with hikes or other outdoor pursuits, it's actually more versatile than you might imagine.

The jacket has been all over our social feeds these past few months, with users showcasing how they style it with everything from jeans to tailored trousers and even pencil skirts.

The piece brings a certain utilitarian vibe to casual outfits, and it's a look I'll be embracing as the weather starts to turn.
