A note telling parents to get off their phones when collecting their children at the end of the day has gone viral after being erected at a Texas day care centre last week.
“You are picking up your child. GET OFF YOUR PHONE!,” the note began.
The one-page blast was posted to a door of the Rose Hill day care centre by a staff member last week, and later shared to Facebook by mother-of-three Juliana Farris Mazurkewicz, whose children attend the centre.

The letter reads in full:
You are picking up your child.
GET OFF YOUR PHONE!
Your child is happy to see you! Are you happy to see your child??
We have seen children trying to hand their parents their work they completed and the parent is on the phone.
We have heard a child say, “Mommy, mommy, mommy…” and the parent is paying more attention to their phone than their own child.
