'These $30 viral pants are selling fast (and yes, I bought two pairs).'

In case you missed it, the 'Sporty Spice Aesthetic' is having a moment.

Big W just dropped their Autumn/Winter collection this week, and while there are plenty of gems to be found, there's one piece that's causing quite the stir: a pair of $30 Side-Stripe Pants that are virtually growing wings and flying off the shelves.

As soon as I saw them, I knew I had to have them.

But it turns out I'm not as original as I thought. When I rocked up to the Mamamia office, five other colleagues confessed they'd nabbed a pair, too, while others ran up to me, pleading 'WHERE ARE THEY FROM, I NEED THEM'.

Available in both red and neutral colourways and in sizes 6-18, they're the perfect blend of comfort and elevated athleisure vibes, without screaming "I just came from the gym."

And depending on where you work, they are totally acceptable office wear.

The material is lightweight and crease-free. I 'sized up' and got size 12 from my regular size 10 because I like a relaxed fit. Plus, at 5 foot 7, I could use the extra length.

The viral pants are selling out.

They're flooding my TikTok algorithm, too.

Melbourne mum and content creator Ashlee Sahlberg shared a video sporting these beauties, where she warned her followers: 'gals run don't walk,' declaring them 'so comfy' — so comfy, in fact, that she grabbed two pairs. One in each colour.

"Was literally going to Big W tomorrow to get these," one person keenly wrote, while another lamented, "Nooo! I was there today! Wish I had seen these earlier, I will have to go back."

And my personal favourite comment that perfectly sums up our mood? A straight-to-the-point "I need both NOW."

Currently in the red colour, they do still have sizes available in store, and available for click and collect only. If your local store is sold out when you look online, try and look a little wider afield. They're worth it.
