Let's dive straight in because we're all busy and there's a lot of ground to cover.

In case you missed it, it's been a few weeks since Victoria Beckham's eponymous beauty brand launched in Australia at Mecca, both online and in a select few stores.

With its sleek tortoise-shell packaging and gold embossed Victoria Beckham labels, this range of luxury makeup and skincare products is undeniably… Posh.

Watch: Two ex-Mecca employees share the most overhyped products. Post continues below.

You've likely seen the hype online and heard makeup artists and beauty influencers raving about the cult Victoria Beckham eyeliners and the $185 foundation drops (yes, really).

But what are these expensive products really like, and are they worth their luxurious price tags?

To break the fourth wall: beauty creators and journalists like myself are more often than not sent product samples to trial and review.

Not this time; Victoria Beckham Beauty review samples were ultra exclusive and super limited.

So, off I went to Mecca Bourke Street in Melbourne to try every Victoria Beckham Beauty product I could get my hands on.

Victoria Beckham Beauty reviews.

I spent over an hour testing Victoria's products; I fought my way past the crowds and took up residence in one of the makeup chairs so I could swatch and apply everything, like I would at home.

It's the best way to trial the products; the staff are so friendly and helpful with shade matching and sanitising the testers, no one rushed me or hovered around waiting for me to buy something.

But not everyone can get to a store to do this, so consider this your ultimate 'no stone unturned' guide to Victoria Beckham Beauty.

I'll preface this review with two things: first, if money were no object, I would've walked out of the store with a lot more than the lone Victoria Beckham Beauty product I actually bought. (More on that in a bit.)

And secondly…

Who is she?! Image: Supplied.

A full face of Victoria Beckham Beauty looks really, really good.

I went in-store completely barefaced, and walked out with somewhat professional-looking makeup, done by yours truly.

Just call me Posh. Image: Supplied.

The makeup lasted really well throughout the day, too.

I received so many compliments when I got back to the office, and multiple colleagues messaged me asking me about my makeup when I joined a work video call wearing VB.

But no one needs to spend hundreds of dollars to get high-quality makeup that delivers professional results.

Based on my first impressions and the types of makeup products I like to use, I've broken down my review into the products I genuinely would and wouldn't spend my own money on.

Strap in and get comfy, lads. Here's what you need to know.

Victoria Beckham Beauty The Foundation Drops, $185.

Victoria Beckham Beauty The Foundation DropsImage: Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty The Foundation Drops review:

Think of this product as a lightweight fluid foundation with a natural finish, but in the buzzier, more modern 'drops' style of packaging.

If you're expecting these foundation drops to feel and look like a skin tint, you'll be shocked by the level of coverage. You can build this up from sheer to medium coverage.

Before and after a light layer of the foundation. Image: Supplied.

I didn't think much of the product when I first applied it using my fingers and a brush, it felt like the product was sitting on top of my skin rather than blending into it seamlessly.

The lovely MECCA host mentioned she finds the foundation actually looks better on the skin the longer you wear it because of the Augustinus Bader skincare-infused formula; I agree!

Would I buy it? No — because… $185. My go-to light coverage foundation is MAC Studio Radiance Face & Body Radiant Sheer Foundation ($68).

Victoria Beckham Beauty The Concealer Pen with TFC8®, $114.

Suss the textures of these base products. Image: Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty The Concealer Pen review:

I was instantly transported back to using the iconic golden YSL Touche Éclat pen; I love a pen format for a concealer and this one is super easy to use.

This concealer delivers more coverage than YSL Touche Éclat (light to medium coverage) and has the same natural skin finish as the foundation drops. It did brighten my under-eye area, but not in a WOAH way.

Also like the foundation drops, the concealer formula contains the AB skincare ingredients; I can't say if it lives up to its claims of decreasing eye puffiness and reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation, fine lines and dark circles, but if I was going to use active skincare-infused makeup, I'd go with a concealer.

Would I buy it? No — the Bobbi Brown Corrector Stick ($60) is my all-time favourite under-eye product, but if you're after similar feel and coverage to the Victoria Beckham concealer, try L'Oréal Paris True Match Radiant Serum Concealer ($29) or Holme Beauty Hytride Flex Concealer ($52).

Victoria Beckham Beauty Contour Stylus, $63.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Contour StylusSo this is what a 'stylus' looks like… Image: Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty contour stick review:

This is one of the slimmer contour sticks I've seen lately; not the easiest to use if you're a beginner!

The formula is ultra buttery and blends beautifully with a natural-looking finish; if you love a super chiselled makeup look (like Posh herself!), you might enjoy this.

Would I buy it? No — I personally prefer a chubbier contour stick because I use them to add warmth and colour to my face (like a cream bronzer); I can't go past the new Maybelline Lifter Stix Multi-Use Face Sculpting Stick ($29.99) or the beloved MECCA MAX Off Duty Contour Stick ($20).

Victoria Beckham Beauty Reflect Highlighter Stick, $77.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty highlighter review:

I honestly feel like these could be more expensive; no one's really talking about them and they deserve more hype.

Highlighters have dropped out of my makeup routine in recent years as many are too obvious or glittery-looking. I clocked the stunning art deco gold bullet packaging the second I walked up to the stand; it was love at first swipe.

The Victoria Beckham highlighters come in two shades — Pearl for a subtle, sheer glow and Amber for a bronze glow — and promise to deliver an effortlessly dewy, glass skin glow that mimics the luminosity you get after a facial.

I can't think of a better way to describe them. They scream quiet luxury and make you look like you've got your own full-time lighting guy; the closest product I've tried is the Chanel Baume Essential Multi-Use Glow Stick ($83).

Would I buy it? Yes — everything from the ultra-luxe packaging and formula to the gorgeous glassy-skin finish is 10/10.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Colour Wash Blush Water Tint, $77.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Colour Wash Blush Water TintObsessed. Image: Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty blush water tint review:

Another product I think is far more impressive than the $185 foundation drops.

These 'water blushes' are chic as shit and last all day; I haven't seen much like them on the market, other than in Korean makeup.

The liquid blush comes in vial-like packaging with a pipette-style applicator; dab the blush water onto your cheeks and blend quickly, because once it dries down, it does not budge.

The blush shades in action. Image: Supplied.

Unlike matte liquid blushes or dewy cream blush formulas, this blush water is more like a lip stain — it leaves a fresh, pigmented glow that looks like you've had a thrilling quickie.

Would I buy it? Yes — I wanted to on the day, but the Flushed shade was sold out. I hope Posh brings out more shades.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Cheeky Posh Cream Blush Stick, $70.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Cheeky Posh Cream Blush StickImage: Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty blush stick review:

Very different to the water blushes, but just as lovely. This cream blush stick is so easy to use and has a super decadent texture that blends easily with fingers or a brush.

The finish is less dewy, more velvet. It's a grown-up cream blush, another quiet luxury makeup product. A little goes a long way, and you can build the colour up to suit your level of blush blindness!

Would I buy it? No — I loved this blush, but I already own a trillion cream blushes I love just as much, like the MAC Glow Play blushes ($56) and NYX Professional Makeup Fat Cheeks Blush ($19.99).

Victoria Beckham Beauty Lip Definer Waterproof Lip Liner, $54.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Lip Definer Waterproof Lip LinerPosh Gloss in Fizz and the lip liner in No.03. Image: Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty lip liner review:

It's… a lip liner. A lovely lip liner that applies easily and does last for at least a couple of hours, but nothing major.

The brand says their lip liners are formulated with peptides to improve the appearance of fine lines around the lips; sorry, but even if you wore a lip liner 24/7, it likely wouldn't have that kind of impact.

Would I buy it? No — but I don't wear lip liner often to say whether this one is a game changer, and the MECCA MAX Pout Pencils ($16) are just as good for a fraction of the price.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Gloss, $50.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh GlossMaybe I'm a lip combo girl now? Image: Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Gloss review:

I'm not a lip gloss person, but when I swiped this one in the shade Fizz after lining my lips with No.03, I have to admit, I looked pretty hot.

Again, this is a very grown-up lip gloss. The kind of lip gloss that would own a boardroom presentation.

Would I buy it? No — but if you're a person who loves a 'your lips but better' neutral lip gloss look and you want to splurge on a chic one for your handbag, go forth. Maybelline's Lifter Gloss ($20.99) is a fab savey alternative.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Balm, $54.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh BalmThe Posh Balm in the middle, Posh Lipsticks either side. Image: Supplied

My Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Balm review:

I consider myself a tinted lip balm connoisseur. This one doesn't nail the brief, in my opinion.

Yes, they're glossy and hydrating and super chic with the slim bullet. But there's not enough pigment and the colour doesn't last long enough to justify the price tag.

Would I buy it? No — if I'm going to splurge on a lip product, it'll be a DIOR Addict Lip Glow Balm ($65). Rimmel Oh My Gloss! Butter Me Up Lip Butter ($25.95) and Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm ($19) are two more affordable ones I can't stop applying lately.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Lipstick, $66.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh LipstickMe in shade Spark. Image: Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty lipstick review:

Now THIS is my favourite kind of lipstick.

Ultra creamy. Pigmented and leaves a bit of a stain behind. Glossy and sophisticated.

Like the other lip products, the slim bullet is super premium and is a joy to carry around. I swatched the shade Spark and knew it was coming home with me.

Would I buy it? Yes — and I did! This was actually the only product I purchased on the day because I knew I would get heaps of wear out of it, and it feels like a nice way to dip your toe into the brand without forking out too much.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Portofino '97 Golden Shimmer Body Oil, $160.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Portofino '97 Golden Shimmer Body OilDreaming about this. Image: Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty body oil review:

I have heard so much about the Victoria Beckham fragrances (people allegedly have been stocking up while on overseas trips!), but I can't do $330 for a 50ml fragrance in this economy.

What I can do is a luxurious, luminous dry-oil body fragrance that is a perfume, body oil and bronzing product in one.

This is the kind of bougie product I'd save for special occasions; the dry oil formula is nourishing and dries down completely, so no greasy residue.

The scent smells like an Italian dream, and the bronze shimmer makes your skin look like you've been holidaying on the Beckhams' yacht in the Mediterranean.

Get it on my collarbones immediately.

Would I buy it? Yes. 1,000 times yes. I am adding this to my Christmas and birthday wish list for sure.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Mascaras, $56.

Victoria Beckham Beauty MascarasVast Lash vs. Future Lash. ImageL Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty mascara review:

There are two; Future Lash Mascara is your lengthening formula with a petite wand for a sleek, defined lash look, while Vast Lash Masacara has a more traditional curved brush for volume and drama.

Both formulas were nice; I tried one on each eye. I preferred how the Future Lash Mascara looked on me. I'm not surprised this one has sold out.

Would I buy them? No — I'll always buy budget mascaras because the formulas are great, but you can also afford to replace them every three months like you should! Revlon's Colorstay Full Time Mascara ($26) is my current favourite.

Victoria Beckham Beauty EyeWear Longwear Eyeshadow Stick, $56.

Victoria Beckham Beauty EyeWear Longwear Eyeshadow StickThe sold-out shade Shroom. Image: Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty eyeshadow stick review:

I froth an eyeshadow stick, and these ones are excellent. They aren't 100 per cent creaseproof, but I honestly don't believe such a cream eyeshadow product exists.

These are blendable, buildable and highly-pigmented, though. I also love the range of khakis, browns and cool-toned shades, and how easy they are to scribble on and blend out with your finger or an eyeshadow brush.

Would I buy it? No — these are fab, but the MECCA MAX Zoom Shadow Sticks are just as great!

Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lustre, $64.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid LustreWish I'd bought this. Image: Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lustre review:

Ooft. Now this is a show-stopping eyeshadow. The kind of eyeshadow you wear when you want your eyes to smize.

It's a creamy pressed eyeshadow with tonnes of pigment and minimal fallout. The best bit is how easy it is to swipe on for eye makeup that looks like you put in heaps of effort (but didn't). I love the sexy pot packaging too.

Swipe on using your finger for a subtle wash of colour, or build up and blend outwards for a beginner's smokey eye look.

Would I buy it? Yes — specifically in the shade Mink.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal Liner, $57.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal LinerThe liners, the shadow stick (bottom left) and the lid lustre (top right). Image: Supplied.

My Victoria Beckham Beauty eyeliner review:

Last but not least is the makeup product that put Victoria Beckham Beauty on the map.

These eyeliners deserve all the hype. The colour range of unique jewel tones and utility neutrals is unmatched, and you won't find a more foolproof eyeliner thanks to the creamy formula that glides on like butter.

I'm an eyeliner numpty, and even I found it easy to use in multiple ways; draw on a sleek thin line, smudge out for a smokey eye look using the in-built sponge applicator, or tightline your upper and lower lash lines for piercing definition.

Would I buy it? Yes — I'd go as far as to say that if you only buy one Victoria Beckham Beauty product, make it an eyeliner.
