baby

All three of Trisha Paytas' births have one thing in common. And it's brought back a theory.

YouTuber Trisha Paytas is now a mother of three... and she's divided the internet yet again with her choice of baby name.

But it's not just the name that has people buzzing, it's also the baby's birthday, which leans into a long-running internet conspiracy theory.

Paytas is an incredibly well-known woman.

The American content creator was an early adopter of YouTube when she launched her channel in 2007 and amassed more than five million followers on the platform. Although these days, her reach extends far beyond just social media.

In her 18 years on the internet, she's been in 17 movies, six music videos (including Eminem's 'We Made You'), and on 44 TV shows, including The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Dr. Phil, My Strange Addiction, America's Got Talent, and Big Brother UK.

But it's the family she's created with her husband Moses Hacmon that she considers her most worthwhile achievement to date.

And there's some interesting theories about her brood — specifically about when they were born. But first — everything to know about her new baby.

Trisha welcomes her third baby.

This week, Paytas welcomed baby number three and the name is just as unique as you'd expect from the influencer.

Welcome Earthside, Aquaman Moses Paytas-Hacmon. A nod to him being a cancer star sign, perhaps?

"We watched three movies to really solidify this name, and I feel like if people have been watching me for a while… they were like 'this makes the most sense,'" she said on Wednesday's episode of her podcast Just Trish.

A trip to the doctors only solidified the name choice for Paytas.

"I know it was the right name because when we went to the doctor for a follow-up last week, it was a different doctor than our [usual] doctor, and they had (an Aquaman) poster in their doctor's office. It was crazy," she said.

Are Trisha Paytas babies reincarnated? The internet thinks so.

You might've noticed the comments on Trisha's baby announcement were flooded with one name (and it wasn't Aquaman's). It was Ozzy Osbourne.

Shortly after Paytas announced Aquaman had been born, news broke that Black Sabbath lead singer and rock music legend Ozzy Osbourne had died.

It's a mere coincidence, especially given Aquaman was actually born on July 12, but the internet couldn't help but notice a pattern.

Every time Paytas gives birth, a major name passes away.

The theory started in 2022 when rumours spread that Paytas had gone into labour just before news of Queen Elizabeth II's death broke.

Of course, the internet went wild with memes joking that the Queen would be reincarnated as Paytas' baby.

Paytas had to come out and prove she was, in fact, still pregnant.

"Well this is awkward… to have to announce that I'm still VERY much pregnant and have NOT given birth. I almost felt sad yesterday to tell people this. The internet is a weird place. I don't know how any of those rumours started or why," she wrote on Instagram.

"Sorry to the royal family and my baby. Felt weird to say anything at all. But so many people IRL that we know, had been texting and calling about this. Including my dad who felt out of the loop as if I wouldn't text him when I was going into labour."

Her first child, Malibu Barbie, was born just days later.

Then there's baby number two, Elvis.

The timing of Paytas announcing she was expecting her second child sent the internet into a spin because King Charles III had just announced his cancer diagnosis and treatment. The internet began conspiring that the King's presumed upcoming death would coincide with the birth of Paytas' second child.

As you can imagine, Paytas wasn't the fondest of these jokes.

"I get the timing is crazy, I get it," she said in a TikTok.

"I get the meme of it all. I was able to lean into the Queen Elizabeth one a little bit, but it also terrifies me that people believe in it enough."

The meme theory shifted once again when Pope Francis died earlier this year, with social media users deciding Paytas was pregnant with his reincarnation.

And that brings us to now.

Paytas leaned in to the jokes in Wednesday's podcast announcement.

"A baby's here, let's not even," she said. "We don't have to reincarnate anybody, really, okay? Or maybe we do — who knows what the name is."

And just by crazy coincidence, just hours later, we found out Ozzy Osbourne died.

A 'traumatic' birth.

Paytas said Aquaman arrived early and nothing went to plan. Her water broke unexpectedly ahead of her scheduled C-section procedure and then her doctor wasn't available when she arrived at the hospital.

"This was the most chaotic, traumatising birth of my life," she said.

Paytas arrived at the hospital on July 11 and didn't give birth until the following morning.

"I actually thought I was going to die," she said. "I was like, 'I don't know if I can handle this."

Once she was in the operating theatre, things went smoothly.

"They delivered it quickly," she said. "They delivered our baby in 10 minutes. Everyone is fine which is a good thing. Everyone is great."

Little Aquaman joins siblings Malibu Barbie, 2, and Elvis, 10 months. Paytas said this will "likely" be her last pregnancy.

Paytas announced that she was expecting in March and spent her pregnancy teasing baby name ideas (quirky names basically comes with the family at this point).

"I like Lemon and I like Papermate. I like Squeezie and Squooshie," she joked in a TikTok on July 8.

"Baby names really have to excite me, like, 'I wish that was my name'."

However, her children's names have copped some criticism over the years, especially after Elvis' birth.

"Beautiful... But why Elvis? U could've named her Marilyn or Priscilla," one comment read.

"What an awful name for a child. Whatever happened to just calling your child Emily or Jessica?" said another.

A third wrote, "Why do you give your children such awful names? They've got to grow up with such tacky names. So sorry for them."

Of course, for every hater there is a fan, and plenty came out in support of Paytas' decision to name her baby after the "King of Rock and Roll" Elvis Presley.

"Not a drill. Elvis is here," one wrote, while another commented, "Elvis is in the building!"

A third defended the Youtuber, writing, "She just loves Elvis, and wanted it no matter the gender. Very cute, I think."

Of course, the fiercest defender is Paytas herself.

In November 2023, when she announced she was pregnant with her second child, she also announced her decision to name her (then-future) child Elvis, saying that she "manifested" it.

"I love all names, I think they’re so cute, but I've always manifested Malibu and Elvis," she said on her podcast Just Trish. "It's always been [one of the] names I've said, so that's it."

And now we can welcome Aquaman into the fold.

Congratulations to the happy family.
