Trinny Woodall's 'life-changing' morning hack is going viral. She just told us how it works.

If there's anyone who knows how to start the day feeling good, it's Trinny Woodall.

The 61-year-old fashion icon and beauty entrepreneur joined Mamamia's You Beauty podcast this week, and while her morning routine is full of clever tricks and rituals, there's one surprisingly simple habit she loves that has also gone viral on TikTok.

It genuinely stopped us in our tracks.

She jumps. For 60 seconds. Every. Single. Morning.

"And then I jump for 60 seconds, because it kind of gets your lymph flowing," Trinny told us.

It doesn't cost anything. You don't need any equipment. You don't even need to leave your bedroom.

Just one minute of bouncing up and down, and according to Trinny — and a growing wave of TikTok creators — it could have a huge impact on your mood, your energy and even your body's ability to detox.

Listen: Trinny Woodall tells us all her beauty routine — including jumping. Post continues below.

The ritual that wakes up her whole body.

When we asked Trinny to walk us through her morning routine, she explained that she likes to keep it consistent.

"Wherever I am, I take the same thing, so I never compromise my routine," she said.

Before the jumping begins, she starts with something she calls her "Five Lymph Wake Up" — a series of gentle pumping and tapping motions designed to stimulate the lymphatic system.

"Just start by pumping under, by your chest, between your chest plate and your clavicle," she explained.

Then she moves to the "front and back of your lymph nodes around your ear," followed by "the back, just down at the back of the top of your spine." Finally, she works on "under my armpit, stomach, inner thigh and back of knees."

It's all about getting things moving. "It just gets the flow of energy going in your body," she said.

Then comes the star of the show: 60 seconds of jumping.

Why TikTok can't get enough.

Trinny isn't the only one. The idea of jumping as soon as you wake up has become a full-blown trend on TikTok, with millions of people swearing by its benefits.

One creator, Kathryn Smith, whose video racked up over 500k views, said she jumps 50 times the moment her feet hit the floor in the morning. Like Trinny, she believes it has the power to "change your life."

It sounds almost too easy, but there's a little bit of science to it.

Jumping kickstarts the heart rate, which boosts circulation and floods your body with endorphins. They're the "feel-good" hormones that are usually associated with a runner's high — except this time, you're not running.

Those endorphins can help reduce stress and anxiety, and shake off the sluggish mood that often lingers first thing in the morning.

If you're someone who can't function without coffee, think of it as a natural energy shot for your entire system. Just one minute of movement to switch your body and brain on.

The science behind the bounce.

Beyond the mood boost, jumping has another powerful benefit: it helps your lymphatic system do its job.

If you're not familiar, your lymphatic system is basically the body's personal waste-management network. It clears out toxins, supports immunity, and keeps swelling and puffiness under control.

But unlike your circulatory system, which has the heart to pump blood around, your lymphatic system doesn't have a built-in pump. It relies entirely on muscle movement to get the fluid flowing. Which means that every single bounce, skip or jump you do acts like a natural pump for your body.

That's why Trinny's 60-second jump isn't just about feeling energised in the moment — it's a mini lymph flow boost built into her morning. Science agrees: regular movement, even small bursts like this, is one of the best ways to keep lymphatic flow healthy.

Of course, because it's Trinny, the jumping isn't the only dramatic part of her routine. There's also ice.

"I take a bucket of ice and I put my face in the ice," she told YouBeauty. And she doesn't stop there. "I take the extra ice, and I go in the shower, and I shower, and I do, you know, I just rub it on my skin."

It's intense — but she swears by it. And while dunking your face in ice water at 6am might not be for everyone, jumping is accessible to literally anyone.

The easiest wellness hack you'll ever try.

What we love most about this habit is that it's doable. No matter your fitness level, no matter your schedule, you can fit in 60 seconds of jumping. You don't need a gym, or special equipment, or even activewear. Just roll out of bed, put on some music if you want, and bounce.

For Trinny, it's about consistency. For TikTok, it's about transformation. And for the rest of us? It might just be the quickest way to shift your energy and start the day feeling lighter, happier and more awake.
