This is the best reality TV cast to grace Australian television.

Good news, reality TV fans. The greatest show is coming back to Australia. As it should!

Network 10 has announced the return of the reality series The Traitors Australia next year, with former Big Brother host Gretel Killeen stepping in to front the rebooted series.

The revival comes two years after production was paused on a previous Australian version hosted by Rodger Corser, which ran for two seasons.

Hot off racing around the globe with daughter Epiphany Mason on The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition, Killeen is set to bring her flair for the dramatics to this campy new hosting gig.

Watch Gretel Killeen discuss parenting on The Project. Post continues after video.

Excited? You really should be. If the bonkers drama that's gone down on Traitors US is anything to go by (run don't walk to binge the first three seasons), we are in for a delightful season of drama, lies, deceit and… murder!

We've rounded up everything we know so far.

What is The Traitors Australia?

Originally created in the Netherlands in 2021, Traitors has been commissioned in over 30 territories, with the US celebrity version especially exploding in popularity, and winning the Emmy for Outstanding Competition Reality Program for the past two years.

The premise has a group of contestants, or 'Faithfuls', who must live together in a spooky mansion while working together to build a prize pot of $250,000. The twist? A handful of 'Traitors' are secretly plotting to murder them each night and claim their winnings by the finale.

Through teamwork and strategy, the Faithfuls must vote to banish the Traitors in their midst before they snatch the whole damn prize.

Where is The Traitors Australia filmed?

The upcoming Aussie season will be produced by New Zealand's South Pacific Pictures and will be filmed in Timaru, New Zealand.

Who is the host of Season 3 of The Traitors Australia?

Big Brother icon, Gretel Killeen, is locked in to take the reins from Rodger Corser, who hosted the reality show for its first two seasons.

Known for its campy host antics, Killeen is excited to bring her own distinct style to the role.

"As a writer and performer, I love a new experience, and hosting the new Traitors gives me permission to explore an alternate version of myself in an imaginary place, full of challenging mischief," she said.

Paramount Australia's vice president of content, Tamara Simoneau, described Killeen as the "OG of groundbreaking, buzz-worthy reality shows" from her stints on Big Brother and The Masked Singer. Too right!

"The Traitors format has fans obsessing over every twist and turn all over the world, and it's time we bring it back to Aussie screens with our very own version," Simoneau stated.

"We are assembling a brilliant cast of the most cunning and clever Aussies, but Gretel is poised to take them on a ride that'll test them like never before, and audiences are going to be on the edge of their seats."
