Tanya Plibersek says Tony Abbott ’embarrassing’ Australia on world stage.
Deputy Opposition Leader Tanya Plibersek has criticised Tony Abbott for his conduct on overseas political trips.
“Australians have to worry that he’ll embarrass us on the world stage,” she said.
She continued stating, “Nigel no-friends” was avoiding criticisms from other world leaders regarding his lack of action on climate change, rather than facing up to the problem.
These criticisms come following reports Mr Abbott has cancelled plans with International Monetary Fund heads Christine Lagarde and World Bank President Jim Yong Kim during his trip to the US.
Plibersek has said this was unbelievable given Australia is hosting the G20 summit in November, calling it “the most important international meeting that has ever been seen on Australian soil”.
