Tones and I was rehearsing for her biggest show ever when blood began running down her leg.

Tones and I has opened up about experiencing pregnancy loss during rehearsals, the night before she played a huge show on her national tour.

The Australian artist, whose real name is Toni Watson, shared that mere hours before playing Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena, she ended up in hospital.

In a long Instagram post, she shared her story.

"The day before the biggest show of my career so far, I was in rehearsals with 30 choir, 30 dancers and 50 crew, our final dress rehearsals after years of dreaming and months of organising," the singer's post began.

"I was at the point of the show where I just hit the big note in 'To Be Loved' the first song off my latest album, as I hit the big note I felt blood running down my legs, usually an awkward but manageable situation, especially since this was a rehearsal and not a show, except... I was 9 weeks pregnant."

Tones and I said she knew immediately what was happening.

"I wasn't planning on telling people, and I was completely prepared to resort back to the baggy jumpers and pants I once was known for. But here I was, almost 100 per cent I was having a miscarriage, the night before the biggest show of my career," she wrote.

From there, she went with her husband, Jimmy Bedford, to a nearby hospital.

"Jimmy and I left rehearsals and we were at the hospital by 8:30pm. The pain started to kick in and after not sleeping that night I was told I was having a miscarriage," she continued.

Despite doctors telling her that she should rest and cancel the show the following evening, Tones and I still went ahead with the performance.

"I am not condoning going against doctors' advice by any means, but I'd be lying if my mind didn't instantly go to the creative team, the production crew, the dancers, the choir, the FANS," she said. "I knew there was no way I could let everyone down."

What followed, the singer describes, was a destabilising experience held together by the support of the stadium's crowd.

"Off-stage felt like a blur, but as soon as I stepped on stage, I felt carried. It was unlike any show I have ever performed. I was lifted by my family on-and-off stage who knew nothing," she said.

"I told three people that night and let the energy of everyone else carry me through this moment, whilst also not wanting to let this show pass me by. I wanted it to be a night I would never forget."

Thankfully, after the show Tones and I returned to the hospital.

"The next morning the surgery was completed. I am not a sharer, and it's scary to even write these words. I just want to say thank you. So much. To everyone that was there with me that night."

The 'Dance Monkey' singer's post has been flooded with supportive comments.

Casey Donovan wrote, "I am so sorry for your loss and commend your strength, vulnerability, passion and love on one of the biggest moments in life and your career."

Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause commented, "In our most vulnerable moments, in sharing our darkness we gift light to others who may take strength knowing they are not alone. Thank you for always being a light to so many."

Earlier this year, Tones and I spoke to The Kyle and Jackie O Show about wanting to start a family with her husband in the near future.

"Eight of my friends just announced they were pregnant or had a kid in the last few months. So, I want to have nothing in my schedule," she joked.

"I am thinking that maybe next year I want to start settling down."

In March 2023, she surprised her followers by announcing she had married her partner Jimmy in a low-key ceremony in Bali.
