Did Tom Cruise just hard-launch his new girlfriend on Valentine's Day?

We need to talk about what might be 2025's most unexpected celebrity pairing: Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas.

In photos obtained by Daily Mail, Cruise, 61, and De Armas, 35, were spotted walking together in London's Soho area after dinner on Valentine's Day (of all days) and the internet thinks the action star just hard launched his new girlfriend.

People Magazine reported that the pair were seen taking some photos with fans before getting into a taxi together, and let's just say the internet is having an absolute field day with this potential new couple.

Though, the obvious fact remains: they could very well just be pals or future co-stars.

It's also not the first time the pair have been seen together recently. In fact, Cruise was previously seen dropping De Armas off at London's Chiltern Firehouse just a week ago.

Let's unpack this, shall we?

Tom (you might know him from... literally everything) has had quite the journey in the love department.

First, there was his marriage to Mimi Rogers back in the pre-Top Gun days of 1987. Then came the iconic union with our very own Nicole Kidman, which lasted from 1990 to 2001 and gave us some of the most memorable red carpet moments of the '90s and, not to mention, one of the most iconic memes (Kidman's post-divorce celebration, which she has since debunked).

And who could forget his relationship with Katie Holmes? The couch-jumping incident on Oprah, the whirlwind romance, and the very public split in 2012 that had everyone talking.

Meanwhile, De Armas has had her own fair share of romantic endeavours. She had that pandemic-era romance with Ben Affleck, which had us all invested during lockdown, complete with paparazzi dog walks and coffee runs. Before that, she was married to Spanish actor Marc Clotet and, most recently, she was linked to Tinder executive Paul Boukadakis.

But wait, there's more. Ana has previously gushed about Tom's legendary commitment to stunts after doing her own action sequences in Ghosted and Ballerina.

"It's demanding and painful and your body is hurting everywhere, but it's also very rewarding as I saw myself getting better at it," she said about her experience.

"I'm not at a Tom Cruise level yet. But I can appreciate what he does 100% now, and I totally get why he does it. He's so mind-blowing."

Nothing like a mutual appreciation for throwing yourself off buildings to bring two people together, we always say.

The age-gap might raise a few eyebrows (26 years, if you're counting), but in Hollywood terms, that's practically nothing.

While neither star has confirmed anything (shock), sources say they looked pretty comfortable in each other's company. And let's be real — you don't just casually go out for Valentine's Day dinner with a friend, right? RIGHT?

Whether this blossoms into Hollywood's next power couple or turns out to be just two friends catching up for Palentine's Day, we'll be watching this space with popcorn in hand. Especially if they end up co-starring in an action-packed blockbuster.
