Tom Cruise finally found someone who wants to jump out of a plane with him. Romantically.

We need to talk about what might be this year's most unexpected celebrity pairing: Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas.

The pair have been the subject of intense speculation for several months, after spending Valentine's Day together in London. The romantic outing came one week after Cruise, 62, was seen at the home of De Armas, 37.

People Magazine reported that the pair were seen taking photos with fans, before getting into a taxi together and jetting off to some unidentified Valentine's Day plans.

"Could they just be buddies teaming up for a new action-packed film?" the world wondered. Maybe. But I certainly wouldn't be spending the most romantic day of the year with a new co-worker, I'll tell you that much.

Following a few months of 'sightings' and 'source quotes', came David Beckham's 50th birthday party in May.

This past weekend, Cruise was seen enjoying Beckham's celebrations in London. And who was there alongside him? De Armas.

The Daily Mail went so far as to declare her 'Tom Cruise's new girlfriend' — a spooky label to some, for sure.

Let's unpack this latest romance update, shall we?

Tom (you might know him from... literally everything) has had quite the journey in the love department.

First, there was his marriage to Mimi Rogers back in the pre-Top Gun days of 1987. Then came the iconic union with our very own Nicole Kidman, which lasted from 1990 to 2001 and gave us some of the most memorable red carpet moments of the '90s and, not to mention, one of the most iconic memes (Kidman's post-divorce celebration, which she has since debunked).

And who could forget his relationship with Katie Holmes? The couch-jumping incident on Oprah, the whirlwind romance, and the very public split in 2012 that had everyone talking.

Meanwhile, De Armas has had her own fair share of romantic endeavours with the rich and famous.

She had that pandemic-era romance with Ben Affleck, which had us all invested during lockdown. It came complete with paparazzi dog walks and coffee runs.

Before that, she was married to Spanish actor Marc Clotet and, most recently, she was linked to Tinder executive Paul Boukadakis.

But wait, there's more. Ana has previously gushed about Tom's legendary commitment to stunts after doing her own action sequences in Ghosted and Ballerina.

"It's demanding and painful and your body is hurting everywhere, but it's also very rewarding as I saw myself getting better at it," she said about her experience.

"I'm not at a Tom Cruise level yet. But I can appreciate what he does 100% now, and I totally get why he does it. He's so mind-blowing."

Nothing like a mutual appreciation for throwing yourself off buildings to bring two people together, we always say.

Looks like Tom has finally met his match: a woman who also wants to jump off planes.

The age-gap might raise a few eyebrows (26 years, if you're counting), but in Hollywood terms that's practically nothing.

While neither star has confirmed anything (shock), sources say they looked pretty comfortable in each other's company. And let's be real — you don't just casually go out for Valentine's Day dinner with a friend or bring them to David Beckham's birthday right? RIGHT?
