Three Women on Stan is a mesmerising new piece of television, telling a series of raw and powerful female-led stories that we only rarely get to see play out on screen.
The 10-part series is based on the 2019 best-selling book of the same name written by author and journalist Lisa Taddeo, who also created and executive produced the series.
The TV offering is a fictionalised adaptation of the critically acclaimed book and stars Big Little Lies actress Shailene Woodley as Gia, a fictionalised version of Taddeo who sets out to interview a series of women for her book, uncovering their unique stories, befriending her subjects and facing a series of life-changing moments in her own life along the way.
After Taddeo first had the idea for the book, she spent more than eight years travelling across America and interviewing her subjects, all in order to find three seemingly normal women who would share their sex lives and deepest thoughts with her.
In the book, Taddeo took readers through the true stories of three very different women named Sloane, Maggie, and Lina.
