From Australian Idol to Hi-5, this is exactly where you've seen The Voice contestants before.

Ahem.

If there’s a better genre of story than ‘we’ve seen this reality star we all just met on A DIFFERENT reality show before′ then we have never come across it.

In case you missed it, The Voice is currently on Australian screens for approximately 106 hours every week.

Although precisely nobody wants to admit to watching it, The Voice is one of the most popular shows on Australian television right now.

But weirdly enough, many of this season’s contestants have actually graced our screens before. (Yep, that definitely explains all those double takes.)

From Australia’s Got Talent winner Jack Vidgen to Australian Idol contestant Rebecca Selley, here’s just some of The Voice contestants that have appeared on our screens before.

Jack Vidgen

Jack Vidgen was just a 14-year-old boy from Sydney's Northern Beaches when he stood on the stage of Australia's Got Talent and sang Whitney Houston's 'I Have Nothing'.

The performance was described as "mind blowing" and as the weeks went on, it was clear that Vidgen stood out among the other contestants.

In the end, the teenager ended up winning Australia's Got Talent, taking home $250,000 and a record deal with Sony.

But in the years that followed, including a stint in LA, Jack fell out of love with music and completely stopped singing.

Now, eight years on from Australia's Got Talent, Jack Vidgen is appearing on The Voice.

Lee Harding

Ah, Australian Idol. The gift that gave us Lee Harding and 'Wasabi'. The memories.

In 2005, Lee Harding was Australian Idol's third runner up. At the time, Lee's song 'Wasabi' topped the charts in Australia, leading Lee to perform as a support act for INXS and even fellow Australian Idol alumni Shannon Noll.

Harding told Buzzfeed in 2017 that his Idol experience made breaking into the industry tough (even after a #1 single).

"A lot of labels won't touch you because you've been there, had the chance, and it didn't work out," he said.

This year, he gave it another shot on The Voice.

Nathan Foley

A member of the original Hi-5 lineup from 1999 to 2008, Nathan Foley appeared on our screens once again when he auditioned for The Voice.

Since leaving Hi-5, Nathan has spent most of his time working as a cruise ship entertainer and in numerous musical theatre stints, including productions of Jerry Springer the Opera, Grease on the Beach, Acoustic Rhythms and Mamma Mia!

Nathan has since been eliminated from the competition.

Rebecca Selley

Before appearing on The Voice, 34-year-old Rebecca Selley appeared on Australian Idol.

Over a decade ago, Rebecca competed in the reality show's very first season, which was actually won by The Voice coach Guy Sebastian.

Rebecca's blind audition on The Voice was one of the most-watched this season, thanks to her toddler, J.J., and his adorable rendition of Frozen song 'Let It Go'.

She has since been eliminated from The Voice.

Sheldon Riley

Sheldon Riley is currently competing on The Voice as a part of Team Delta.

This isn't Sheldon's first time on the show. The singer placed third in last year's season of The Voice and also previously appeared on The X Factor in 2016.

Carlos Velazquez

Carlos Velazquez first appeared on our screens way back in 2004 when he appeared on the second season of Australian Idol, which was ultimately won by Casey Donovan.

He also competed on The Voice in 2014 on Ricky Martin's team.

Carlos has since been eliminated from the show.

Chynna Taylor

Chynna Taylor is currently competing on The Voice on Guy Sebastian's team.

Chynna has met Guy before – she actually auditioned for the singer back in 2016 on X Factor.

Diana Rouvas previously appeared on the very first season of The Voice in 2012.

At the time, she was on Keith Urban's team and she made it into the top eight.

Madi Krstevski

Madi Krstevski has also previously appeared on The Voice.

Last year, she left the show when she lost the Battle round while performing up against Aydan Calafiore. She was eliminated earlier this season.
