The 9 Easter eggs that tell us exactly how The Summer I Turned Pretty is going to end.

We all know The Summer I Turned Pretty fans are basically detectives at this point. We've analysed every frame, dissected every song choice, and probably know more about colour theory than most art students.

But what if I told you that Jenny Han has been dropping breadcrumbs about Belly's endgame since day one? The clues are everywhere, and trust me, once you see it, you can't unsee it.

Now — fair warning — if you don't want any theories on how this story is going to end, what are you doing here? Run for your life. Do not read on, because I've got receipts, and they're pretty good.

Author Jenny Han did say there were some changes from the book to screen, but I'm still 100% sure we're on Team Conrad.

At this point, if you're still Team Jeremiah, I admire your optimism, but, in my humble opinion, the writing is on the wall in red ink, surrounded by infinity symbols, romantic comedy references, and Taylor Swift playing as Belly and Conrad ride off into the sunset.

Credit where credit's due — TikTok has done the heavy lifting on most of these theories, and honestly, the collective brain power of that app is terrifying.

Here are 9 of the most telling Easter eggs from TSITP that tell us exactly how the series is going to end.

The marketing posters.

Remember those gorgeous Season 3 promotional shots? The ones that made us all collectively lose our minds? Well, turns out they're more than just marketing posters. They're spoilers.

Pay attention to Conrad's eyeline.

In every single poster, no matter what anyone else is doing or where they're looking, Conrad is gazing directly at Belly like she's the only person in the universe (which, let's be honest, she probably is to him). Meanwhile, Jeremiah is consistently looking away or off into the distance.

The ending was hiding in plain sight. They basically revealed the finale before the season even started.

The nods to Sabrina

As we TSITP enthusiasts know, Sabrina is one of Belly's favourite movies. But the show's obsession with the 1954 film Sabrina isn't just because Belly has impeccable taste in classic cinema. The parallels are very strategic.

Take the poster where Belly is standing in between the two brothers, Jeremiah kissing her cheek while Conrad stares directly at her with unmistakable longing. It's a carbon copy of the original Sabrina movie poster composition, right down to the positioning, dress, and emotional dynamics.

Just like Audrey Hepburn's character ends up with an older, more serious brother (Humphrey Bogart) instead of the charming younger one (William Holden), Belly's story seems to be following the exact same trajectory.

The Sabrina poster in Belly's dorm room? That's not decoration, that's foreshadowing. Team Conrad rejoice!

The many romantic film parallels.

Jenny Han has basically turned TSITP into a greatest hits compilation of iconic romantic movie moments, and they're all happening between Conrad and Belly. That dinner scene with the perfect lighting and genuine laughter? Pure The Notebook energy with Noah and Allie. And when Belly tumbles down the stairs and Conrad immediately lies beside her on the floor? We've seen this movie before, and we know how it ends.

Then there's my personal favourite, the Pride and Prejudice moment that made every Jane Austen fan scream. When Conrad does that subtle Mr. Darcy hand flex after Belly touches his hand. It's the kind of detail that makes you realise the show knows exactly what it's doing.

These aren't coincidences… they're love letters to classic romance.

The very telling song choices.

As we know by now, the song choices in this series are very, very intentional and serve as a roadmap to Belly's heart.

Many fans have pointed out the stark difference between the kinds of songs used for scenes between Belly and Jeremiah versus scenes between her and Conrad, and it seems that Jenny Han is trying to tell us something. That something being, Conrad and Belly are endgame.

For example, in the scene where Belly finds out about Jeremiah's affair, 'You're Losing Me' plays during her emotional turmoil, with lyrics about not being able to find a pulse and having a heart that won't start anymore.

But then in episode 6, when Conrad puts his head on Belly's shoulder, you can audibly hear Belly's heartbeat return, and so does Taylor Swift (an artist we know Jenny Han loves with all her heart) with 'False God.'

It's like the show is using Taylor's discography as emotional GPS — and we're here for it.

Jenny Han's signature shot.

Here's a fun fact that'll blow your mind: Jenny Han has a thing for a specific camera angle across all her projects. The leading lady on the floor, leading man looking down at her.

It appears in XO, Kitty, To All The Boys I've Loved Before, and now The Summer I Turned Pretty

It's become her romantic trademark, her signature directorial move. And guess who got this treatment with Belly? Spoiler alert: it's not Jeremiah.

The colour theory.

Remember 'Red' by Taylor Swift playing in the trailer?

"Losing him was blue, loving him was red," are some of the key lyrics in the song. And it's simple: Losing Jeremiah is blue and loving Conrad is red. Here's why.

The show took these words literally and ran wild with them. Belly frequently wears blue around Jeremiah, but there are many scenes where she is draped in red when she's with Conrad.

The colour symbolism is also all around them. That recent episode where Belly returns to Cousins after viewing her potential wedding venue? One red flower amongst a sea of blue hydrangeas, with Conrad literally standing in the middle.

He's the red hydrangea, people. The symbolism is so heavy-handed and I love it.

The episode titles.

If you're looking for more hints about how the show is going to end, look no further than the titles of each episode.

For example, 'The Last Dance' isn't just about Jeremiah and Belly's final dance together at the end of episode 4 (though, as a Conrad girlie, the prospect of this does make me extremely happy). It's also about Belly and Conrad's last dance around their feelings before they finally get their act together.

The double meaning is so clever it hurts, and Jenny Han is probably somewhere laughing at how we're all just figuring this out now.

The playing cards.

Now, stay with me, this is an obscure one I dug out from the depths of TikTok, but I fully believe this was intentional.

As one eagle-eyed fan pointed out, earlier in the season we saw a Queen of Hearts playing card in Belly's bedroom. Then, more recently, we get a flash of a King of Diamonds mint wrapper in a drawer at Cousins — where Conrad is staying. Very suspicious.

But then, in episode 5, Conrad starts talking about his Lord of the Rings obsession and is also seen reading 'The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.'

Come on, now. He's the king, and he's coming back for his queen.

The infinity symbols.

Those infinity symbols just keep popping up everywhere, don't they? And we know exactly what that means.

The shape Belly makes holding a magazine against the table during 'Last Christmas', the delicate bracelet she's wearing in episode 5 that fans are convinced is the infinity bracelet.

They all callback to the infinity necklace Conrad gave her and imply that perhaps the connection between these two is infinite.

Sun, windows, and yellow everything.

You'll notice that Belly only sticks her head out of windows with pure joy when she's with Conrad. Both times she's with Jeremiah anywhere near a window, she's either trying to pull him back in or she keeps her head firmly inside.

But with Conrad, like in episode 5, she reaches out towards the sunlight with complete abandon.

One TikToker observed that in episode 5 — which is told from Conrad's perspective — Belly is bathed in sunlight and yellow tones: surrounded by sunflowers at Michael's, with yellow sunflowers in the painting behind them during flashback scenes. In Conrad's eyes, Belly is the sun. Every intimate scene between both of them this season has been warm and golden.

I might also add that Conrad's phone lockscreen is literally the sun. Do I need to say anymore?

In a series of behind-the-scenes photos, you can see Belly wearing a yellow dress, head out the window of Conrad's car, and honestly, if that's not foreshadowing her final scene, then what even is storytelling anymore?

As Laurel said, "For Belly, Conrad is the sun" — and after three seasons of this slow burn, we're all ready for some bloody sunshine.
