It's been a big ride for the debut season of The Golden Bachelor. 

Between a drama-filled finale and *those* dating rumours, there's been a lot for Bachelor fans to sink their teeth into. 

On Sunday night, the world found out about Golden Bachelor Bear's final pick: Sunny. 

And it turns out, while all of Australia was both shocked and elated to find out Bear's final pick, so too were his sons. Despite declaring his love for Sunny in South Africa seven months ago — and secretly dating her ever since — Bear seemingly kept the relationship under tight wraps… even from his own sons.

"I didn't know who it was going to be, he never said anything," his eldest son Charlie told Nine.

"I was trying to drop hints but yeah."

Sunny, on the other hand, was not quite as tight-lipped. Her daughters Chloe and Penelope knew the result all along and have been photographed with Bear throughout his 7-month relationship with Sunny.

We couldn't be happier for them. The pair look very much in lust with one another — but is it love?

Well, Sunny has taken to her social media to confirm that yes, it's really something.

Are Bear and Sunny from The Golden Bachelor still together?

The biggest unveiling was that after seven months of dating behind closed doors, she and Bear were finally able to confirm that they are still together. Happily, we might add. 

"After 7 months of dating in secret, we can finally be public and tell the world we are happily together!" she shared online. 

The post was made alongside a photo of her and Bear sharing a passionate kiss and a carousel of photos of them hanging out with her daughters – Chloe and Penny. 

She also posted a Reel about winning the show, calling it 'so wild'.

Speaking to Woman's Day, Sunny said she had to fly home from the Cape Town finale alone, and begin the torturous period of being apart so as not to spoil the show's ending. 

"There were a few secret meetings at Airbnbs. We had to show up at different times and sort of rush in," she said.

"We couldn't stand by the windows. I think you said it was a bit of fun sneaking around, there was a bit of excitement?" she asks Bear. 

"You know, it was a bit, he's Mr Bond and I'm his Bond girl," she giggles.

As for what they've said about the future together? "We have huge feelings for each other, but now we're going back to normal life, and we have lots of things to catch up on after the finale," Sunny said.

"Both of us want to see our love grow organically, so we're going to take it one step at a time."

What happened in the finale episode of The Golden Bachelor? 

In the finale of The Golden Bachelor, Bear heads to Cape Town to introduce his final two — Janette and Sunny — to his sons Charlie and Jack, and his very intense brother Tim.

Both women get grilled: Janette is questioned for being slow to say "love", while Sunny raises eyebrows for having only been single six months and calling Bear "strong". 

The family is split — the sons adore Janette's warmth but think Sunny might be a rebound, while Tim is convinced Janette isn't committed enough.

Bear spends his final dates trying to untangle his feelings. Janette finally admits she's falling for him during a safari cheeseboard moment, while Sunny battles her fear of penguins before telling Bear she's fully in love.

At the final rose ceremony, Janette arrives first — the kiss of death in Bachie world. Bear ends things, prompting Janette to give him an ice-cold, iconic send-off ("Stop saying you're sorry"). Heartbroken but dignified, she leaves hoping her "time will come".

Sunny arrives next, and Bear confesses he's fallen in love again and can't imagine a future without her. She accepts a commitment ring (not an engagement ring, calm down everyone), and the two leave together, blissfully in love.
