'My one piece of advice for anyone attending Taylor Swift in Sydney.'

After waiting in the Ticketek lounge for hours, making hundreds of friendship bracelets and building the perfect outfit, the day has finally arrived — Taylor Swift will be kicking off her Sydney shows tonight.

Melbourne was lucky enough to see her perform across three days last week, in what were the biggest shows of her entire career. Now, the singer will take the Accor Stadium stage from tonight until Monday, performing for over 80,000 fans per day.

Ever since Swift arrived in Australia, it's been complete pandemonium, and we're certain those lucky enough to be attending the concert will need some survival tips.

The Quicky chatted with Kirsten Ploog, host of the unofficial Swiftography podcast, Ready For It, and asked her to share advice she would give Sydney Swifties after attending the Eras Tour in Melbourne.

Here's what she said.

1. When to buy your merch.

While merch is available to buy before the show, the lines are long, with many waiting hours to get their hands on a jumper. Thankfully, Kirsten shared a tip that will save everyone a lot more time.

"Between Sabrina and Taylor there were no lines at the merch stands, so highly recommend if you want to get something straight away."

2. Clear out your phone memory.

There's no way you're not going to take hundreds of videos at the Eras Tour, so it's a good idea to clear out your memory beforehand to ensure you don't have any hiccups during the show.

Either transfer your files onto a hard drive, iCloud or Google Drive so you're not frantically deleting things while you're in the thick of it.

3. Keep the handbag at home.

Accor Stadium has strict security measures in place, so they've asked all attendees to leave their bags at home. However, if you do need to bring a bag, make sure it's no larger than 30x40cm.

4. Prepare for the weather.

Looks like it's going to be a rainy show tonight, with the forecast reporting wet weather, so pack a poncho to keep you and your fabulous outfit dry.

5. Consider bringing earplugs.

With over 80,000 fans in the stadium singing their heart out, along with Swift, who has a world-class sound system in place, having earplugs on hand isn't a bad idea — especially if you have sensitive ears.

If you're taking children with you, it's even more important, as their tiny earbuds are more susceptible to ringing.

6. Watch for Papa Swift.

According to Kirsten, Scott 'Papa' Swift, aka the singer's dad, is always on the lookout to share freebies and upgraded seats.

He's also the one who chooses who gets the '22' hat during the show, so be on watch!
