"Someone is lying straight to my face." The 4 wildest moments from episode 2 of The Challenge.

Monday night was the premiere of the very first season of The Challenge Australia. 

Tonight, we watched as 20 of Australia's most popular sports legends, influencers and reality TV stars competed against each other. Last night, we said goodbye to professional boxer Billy Dib and actor Suzan Mutesi after a rope challenge almost no one could understand.

They are fighting for a $200,000 cash prize in the heart of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a spot to compete in The Challenge: War Of The Worlds.

A lot unfolded last night - and tonight was just as intense for the contestants. 

Here are the biggest moments you missed from the second episode of The Challenge Australia.

A potential romance is blossoming and everyone else... hates it?

What happened?

Johnny Eastoe, from Australian Survivor, and Jessica 'Jess' Brody, from The Bachelor Australia and Bachelor in Paradise Australia, were caught making out in bed following a night of non-stop flirting. 

"Do you guys like each other?" asked David Subritzky from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here. In response, Jess told David that she "didn't like anybody". Johnny deemed her "an awesome, awesome chick".

"Johnny and I are getting along really well. We connect on a lot of levels and I like him," she told the cameras.

Later that evening, the pair were seen kissing in his bed, which didn't sit well with their roommate Ryan Gallagher (from Married At First Sight).

"That's awkward," he said. "How to ruin a friendship in one hour."

Ciarran Stott, who dumped Jess on Bachelor In Paradise, said: "It's not a good look [and] it's not a good move."

Jess defended her decision and told the cameras: "I'm being weary of repeating what happened on Bachelor In Paradise where I sort of open up and the other person just sees me as a stepping stone in a relationship. 

"Getting dumped by Ciarran. Those things are at the forefront of my mind. I'm being cautious."

The next morning, Johnny admitted he regretted the decision. 

"It has the potential to blow up my game," he said.

Jess later told Conor Curran, from MasterChef Australia, that she felt regretful after their kiss. 

"I feel like he got drunk and was affectionate towards me and now regrets it. That feels like an ongoing thing in my life," she said. "Men liking the idea of me until they have me as an option."

David targets another contestant. 

After it was revealed Troy Cullen (from Ninja Warrior) and Jess had won the challenge, David hatched a game plan against Conor Curran (from MasterChef). Earlier in the evening, the chef had made his bond with Jess clear, which made him a threat for David.

"On the way home, Conor was already celebrating because he doesn't need to worry this week," David later told a small group of Challengers, including Megan Marx from The Bachelor and Bachelor In Paradise.

"There are certain people like Conor who are just showing their yards to everyone. It's not a smart move," she said. "Conor should not feel safe in this game at all."

David later told Jack and Audrey, who came last in the challenge, that Conor planned to "cause some drama" since he was safe. However, there has been no camera footage to confirm the claims. 

"I'm such a shady b***h," David said to the cameras. "I love a good rumour."

Troy and Jess' tough decision. 

Jack and Audrey told Troy and Jess during deliberations they wanted to go up against Brooke Blurton (from The Bachelorette) and Conor. 

"We've got the best chance of winning against them," Jack explained before adding: "But I think more so it's the fact of Conor boasting... Obviously, you're going to look like a d**k."

"I'm very shocked," Jess responded. "Are you just being my friend because that keeps you safe or are you genuinely my friend? Can I trust Conor?"

In the end, Jess approached Conor who denied the rumours. 

"The fact that I'm even in the conversation is so upsetting," he told her. "For you to take their word over my word... it would f**king break me."

"It's hard," said Jess. "Because someone is lying straight to my face."

In the end, Jess and Troy put David and Emily against Audrey and Jack for the elimination challenge - meaning David's attempt to target Conor failed. 

"I'm just annoyed," said Emily. "Because everyone knows Jack is my friend. I think people are doing it for s**ts and giggles."

Jess and Troy officially put a target on their back though, as David and Emily took out the win. 

"I'm really happy with how we did," said Jack. "And really also happy for our friends as well."

The Challengers switch partners....

After every single elimination, the pairs are required to switch up partners. The controversial tactic means alliances get shaken up every single episode. 

No one could miss the laugh on Brooke's face when it was revealed she would be matched up with Konrad Bień-Stephen, who competed on her season of The Bachelorette. He then swiftly began dating Brooke's friend, Abbie Chatfield, after he left the show. 

...Talk about awkward!
