The Block stars Kyal and Kara have welcomed a baby boy.

The Block fan favourites Kyal and Kara have welcomed their first child into their family.

Posting on Instagram, the couple announced the birth of their baby boy, Ziya Christopher Demmrich.

"Born 16/10/16 at 7:56pm. 51cm. 8.5 pounds," the couple wrote on their joint social media account.

"Kara was nothing short of amazing. I'm still buzzing from helping guide our baby out! It just feels like a dream," continued Kyal.

Here he is! Ziya Christopher Demmrich. Weighing 8.5 lbs. 51cm long. Best miracle I've ever seen. Extra special being able to help guide him out then cut the cord! The couple added that they felt "so lucky and blessed" to be the proud parents to baby Ziya.

The pair, who appeared on season eight of the Australian home renovation show, have been keeping fans updated during Kara's pregnancy with adorable snaps on social media.

In July, Kara shared a frank admission with her 124,000 followers, telling them that she was flip-flopping between being super excited about the impending arrival of their little one, to completely "freaking out".
