The big secret Emma and Ben have kept all season on The Block.

Hold onto your hard hats, folks, because there's a new foreman in town. Congratulations are in order for The Block's Emma and Ben, who just announced that they're expecting a baby! 

On Wednesday night's episode, the pair shared the exciting news that they are having a baby boy.

Emma, 33, couldn't hold back the happy tears as she shared the news with the cameras. 

"We've got some pretty big news, we're having a baby!" she said. "I'm going to cry." 

"We just found out we're going to have a boy," Ben added.

But get this. The due date is soon. Very soon. 

In an exclusive chat with Woman's Day, the couple revealed their little bundle of joy is set to arrive just three days before the all-important auction.

"We're due three days before the auction," Emma told Woman's Day. 

"We've actually got a meeting with our midwife tomorrow so we're going to come up with a few contingency plans, but whatever happens, happens," added Emma. "The Block said, 'Maybe we'll send some cameras to the delivery room.'"

And the timing could not be more perfect. The couple actually found out they were pregnant the same day they got on The Block.

"It was funny, we actually got the phone call from the casting director to say we were on The Block the same day that we did the pregnancy test," Emma explained. 

"And we were like, 'We'll just go with the flow. If it works out, it works out. If it doesn't, no stress, it's not meant to be.' So we just went with the flow and here we are!"

But of course, with all the cameras and chaos on site, they kept their big news under wraps for a while. 

"We kept it to ourselves until we hit the 13-week mark and got the all-clear with everything from the genetic testing," Emma said. 

Now, for those of you new to the world of The Block, here's the fun part. All the drama, the hammer swings, the tears, and now, the baby news, are all pre-filmed months in advance. 

But the grand finale — the auction — happens much closer to real time. So, while we're all watching Emma and Ben finish their house, they're likely already in the final stages of their pregnancy. 

The big question on everyone's mind is, of course: will they be holding a newborn at the auction? We'll be glued to our screens to find out.
