"I am absolutely blown away." All the photos from The Block's living and dining room reveal in one place.

Living Room week is upon us... and just like us, you are probably VERY excited.

As it always is, this week was one gruelling setback after another for the contestants, especially for Ankur and Sharon who were told by their builders and chippie that they wouldn't be able to have a floor-to-ceiling stone wall finished in time before the reveal.

After a few tears, foremen Keith and Dan got involved... somehow, the stone wall managed to be built on time.

Things also took a disastrous turn when Keith realised he forgot to tell Ankur, Sharon, Tom and Sarah-Jane their scaffolding had to be down by 6pm on Saturday evening with registered trades. He ends up doing the two houses a favour and sticking around for the night to help them out.

Despite the enormous challenge that is living and dining room week, each pair managed to have a completed room by the time The Block's host Scott Cam called for tools down.

Tom and Sarah-Jane.

Money spent: $61,668

The judges were blown away by the sheer scale of the space and the high ceilings.

"This is magnificent," noted Neale. He later added: "I feel like I'm staring at a magazine cover... It's got that vibe."

Shaynna felt the timber beam on the ceilings felt "rustic" and "elegant".

"It's a phenomenal amount of effort," Darren said.

Shaynna was a huge fan of the fireplace but not of the dining room table. Overall, the judges were unhappy with the living room furniture, deeming it too "small" and very "clunky".

Darren felt the "mess of cables" was too distracting, adding that it was "so out of sync with how refined the rest of the house is."

Unlike most of House One's phenomenal rooms, Shaynna didn't feel their living and dining room space pulled at their heartstrings.

"I don't feel their personality," she said.

Rachel and Ryan.

Money spent: $31,182

The judges were blown away by the living and dining room.

"They've done it. They have put heart and warmth and personality into this place," Shaynna said.

While the pair received a poor score for their kitchen and butler's pantry last week, the judges felt it matched perfectly with their vibrant living and dining room this week.

Neale loved the ceiling-to-floor sheer curtains and labelled their sofa as "the best sofa ever".

Darren loved how the dining table and chairs tied in with the kitchen, saying: "It's lively. It's homely. It's fun."

"I am absolutely blown away," said Neale.

Ankur and Sharon.

Money spent: $60,400

The judges appreciated the height of the ceiling and its sheer size but overall labelled it their "re-do room".

Darren appreciated the stone wall but said without grouting, it looked like something from the Flintstones.

All three judges felt Ankur and Sharon's room has elements that are reminiscent of Rachel and Ryan's room, but said it just doesn't "add up to the same level of success".

"How can one be so good and the other not," said Neale before adding: "It's very cold... What's lacking here are the things that make a house a home.

"It doesn't gel. It doesn't feel like a home to me."

Neale felt the artwork by the dining table was impressive but said it belonged to a commercial space, not a home.

Dylan and Jenny.

Money spent: $36,294

The judges were not impressed by Dylan and Jenny's living and dining room, with Shaynna noting it was not a sophisticated version of country.

"It's not what I expected at all," Darren said of the classic country style. They expected a contemporary version instead.

Shaynna felt it was more suited to a period home.

Overall, the judges felt much of the space is disconnected from the rest of the home.

"It doesn't feel aspirational... It doesn't feel luxe. It doesn't feel like the living area that you would expect to find in a house that will be commanding the price that presumably this will," said Neale. "It feels kind of ordinary."

Omar and Oz.

Money spent: $55,810

The judges were fans of the sophisticated and elegant living and dining room presented by Omar and Oz this week.

"It has a sense of grandeur," Shaynna said. "... But also a sense of comfortable living."

"Chic AF," Darren added.

The judges loved the furniture and especially the baby grand piano... which is worth $36,000. They paid $7,500 - meaning they broke a big Block rule which states contestants cannot get more than a 50 per cent discount off any item they buy for their spaces.

"How are they affording this?" Shaynna asked to which Scott Cam reiterated the same question.

"It's 50 per cent of retail price... that's $18,000 boys. You can't go and spend $7,500 on a piano and stick it in a room and expect me to let that slide boys," Scott said.

As a result, he disqualified House five from winning this week's challenge and stripped them of three points. The boys were NOT happy.

"That's pretty disappointing," Omar said.

Oz later said: "It would have been nice if someone came up to us and said that couldn't be done."

After the judges' scores were tallied, Rachel and Ryan took out the win with a score of 29.5.

This marks the first room win for the couple.

Next week, the five teams will tackle their hallways, laundry, mudroom and every other connecting room... aka "Hellway Week".
