1. Sophie Monk responds to claims The Bachelorette was rigged from the beginning.

We speak for everyone when we say that we all know Sophie Monk's season of The Bachelorette was rigged. We don't know how, we don't know why. We just know.

But after footage of Monk saying as much in a speech at boyfriend, Stu Laundy's birthday party was obtained, and released, by Daily Mail, it's looking like we might know for sure.

“Stu and I are very similar — we’re not very good at rules,” Monk can be heard saying in the video footage.

“So the whole time through The Bachelorette, [when] we were meant to be in lockdown, we saw each other more than any [normal] couple I think. I’d leave a key down in the garage, and he’d just pick it up and go straight to the room.

“He had that arrogance in there [the mansion]. He knew he was going to win [the whole time].”

While it'd be easy to take this literally because, well, it's probably true, Soph used her Instagram story to refute the claims.

“Not true. Let me clear this up. I sneakily saw him AFTER we had finished shooting the show, before the finale aired. And his attitude was like he won most of the time. I swear it was totally legit. Love Soph," she wrote.

Sure, sure Sophie. Sure, sure.

2. Gwyneth Paltrow's unusual photo of her 'modern family'.

Just like her relationship with health and wellbeing, it seems Gwyneth Paltrow has her family life all sorted too, and it’s not surprising one bit.

Although the thought of eating kale and egg white omelets is something we probably can’t get on board with, the ‘modern family’ set up she’s flaunting seems it could be beneficial for everyone involved, including the kids, most importantly.

It appears her ex-husband Chris Martin, who she was previously married to for 11 years, and her current partner of two years, Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk, are close enough pals to brunch together without it being completely uncomfortable as a situation like that could become.

Brunch is a big deal people. It’s not breakfast, it’s not lunch, it’s both, meaning they must (can chose to) hang out for the duration of both meals. If that’s the case, it means all three genuinely enjoy each other’s company.

Sure, things could get awkward, to say the least – competitive, even. Normally we’d be skeptical of such a pristine looking family life displayed online. But we suspect Gwyneth is successfully keeping things calm and free from toxicity, because toxins are bad for the complexion.

But for real, power to all three of you.

3. Willow Smith says life with famous parents is "absolutely terrible".

We’ve all wished we were born into a famous household. Not just any household, but one led by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, to be specific. The two represent the harmonious union of cool and responsible, and exude parenting perfection.

Sure, growing up in the spotlight probably comes with many ups and downs, but the positives (money, fame… did we mention money?) no doubt outweigh the negative aspects of a celebrity lifestyle.

Well, apparently not, Willow Smith told Girl Graze Magazine.

Labeling her teenage years in the spotlight as “absolutely terrible”, Willow claimed that the world judging her during the process of growing up had a “crippling effect…on the psyche.”

“Growing up and trying to figure out your life … while people feel like they have some sort of entitlement to know what’s going on, is absolutely, excruciatingly terrible — and the only way to get over it, is to go into it,” Smith said. “You can’t change your face. You can’t change your parents. You can’t change any of those things.”

Come to think of it, having the world watch me transition from an awkward, gangly teen, into a marginally less awkward, gangly adult is something I’m thankful to have avoided.

4. Keith Urban just bought Nicole Kidman a cheeky $52 million present... for no reason.

Look, surprise 'just because I love you' presents are good. They're even better if you're Nicole Kidman and your husband is Keith Urban.

Why? Because that would mean your significant other has the means and wallet to drop a casual $52 million present on you for no apparent reason.

According to Woman's Day, Urban has gifted his wife with mansion on New York's Manhattan Island. Not because it's her birthday, or their anniversary. But so that she can pursue her dreams of performing on Broadway.

The modest abode features seven bedrooms and a rooftop outdoor entertaining area, and reportedly was once owned by Michael Jackson.

If someone could let our loved ones know we're 100 per cent OK with receiving out of the blue gifts like this one, that'd be fab.

5. Oh. We just spotted something a little awkward about Harry Styles' fashion choices.

Legendary talk show host/investigative journalist supreme Ellen DeGeneres has alerted us to potentially the greatest cover-up of our time.

It seems Harry Styles, AKA man idol to the teen masses has been drawing fashion inspiration from NONE OTHER than our very own Cate Blanchett.

Oscar winner and face of SK-II and Giorgio Armani fragrances, Blanchett’s style can be described as a little bit androgynous, and rock and roll, and it seems her and Styles share a penchant for colour blocked power suits, leopard print, and the occasional bit of gold.

However, when Ellen broke the news to the actress, she wasn’t fussed at all.

“'This is so random... he would look great in nude and red,” she said. “He would look good nude…”

I mean, she’s not wrong.
