Police in WA have issued a warning about The Bachelorette's Cam.

He was the Nikki Gogan of this season of The Bachelorette, capturing hearts of viewers before his was broken into pieces by Georgia Love, who sent him home this week.

But if you are in the midst of enacting an elaborate plan to capture the attention of Cameron Cranley aka Fireman Cam and it involves a fire, you’ll probably want to resort to Plan B.

Western Australia Police have issued a very clear, very cheeky warning to anyone who’s thinking of playing with fire.

“Single ladies of Perth do not set your lounge room alight in the hopes of meeting recently voted (and just quietly still single) Cam from The Bachelorette Australia,” they wrote on Facebook.

“As the chances are you will meet Detective Sergeant Kevin, 58 year old father of two from the Arson Squad instead.”

Can we get a round of applause for their social media team, please? Hilarious.

While the brilliant post is tongue-in-cheek, the point remains – it’s probably not a great idea to set fire to your house (or anything!) in order to get his attention.

Arson is a serious crime that according to the WA Police website can attract significant penalties. Anyone convicted of it can be imprisoned for life.

Probably (definitely) not worth the risk, people.

While he's reportedly still single, the 26 year old revealed to NW you won't be seeing him as The Bachelor any time soon.

"I couldn't. I'd love to, but I couldn't," he said.
