Exactly how to recreate Taylor Swift's most iconic hair looks for the Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift has landed in Australia. I repeat, Taylor Swift has landed in Australia.

Feels a bit surreal that I'm breathing the same air as her right now, and that soon, she'll be on stage performing in front of thousands of Swifties who have waited months (that have felt like YEARS) to see her live.

So, I'm assuming you already have your outfit, makeup look, and friendship bracelets down pat, but have you thought about what you're doing with your hair? 

Maybe you want to go with a grungier look like Midnights, or you're hoping to lean into the classic Speak Now curls. Whatever it is, it's time to make a decision, because the clock is ticking!

Because there are only a few sleeps till the big day, I spoke to CLOUD NINE ambassador and hair stylist, Marie Nieuwodt, about how to recreate some of Taylor's most iconic looks.

Before we get into it, you're going to need a good heat protectant and hairspray to help set your look. I recommend the ColourWOW Dream Coat Supernatural Spray and the Bondi Boost Flex + Shine Hairspray. 

There's also a tonne of affordable accessories you can buy to suit your colour scheme, like these ones shown below from Kmart.

Okay, let's get started.

Speak Now hair.

Marie says: "Starting with clean blow-dried hair, apply thermal protector and use a curling iron (I recommend the 2-in-1 Contouring Iron) to create a fuller and rounder c-shaped curl. This look involves a high side parting so take small to medium sections of hair, and using the iron, curl the hair away from the face. To achieve the amount of volume Taylor has, start the curl from eye level leaving the root area soft and smooth. Do not brush or comb the curls."

Red hair.

Marie says: "For Red, blow dry your hair with volume (I love the Airshot Pro). Then, move onto your fringe and blow dry it smooth while adding a slight bend. Using a large curling wand, take large rectangular sections and flat wrap your hair around the wand to create an elongated curved shape away from the face. Once that's done, run your fingers through the curls and spray a light-hold hairspray to set the look."

1989 hair.

Marie says: "The S Wave Bob never goes out of style. First, blow dry the hair. Then, using a wide iron, take medium triangle sections of hair and curl in towards the face. Repeat this process until all the hair is waved, then lightly spray with a flexible hold hairspray. Then take a dressing out brush and gently brush out, creating a sea-like wave."

Lover hair.

Marie says: "Start off with clean, blow-dried hair. Create a soft side part sweeping across the forehead and apply a thermal protector before styling. This wavey lob is easy to create using a Wide Iron. Layer your styling products of choice and take a rectangle medium section of hair in a diagonal pattern. Curl the hair towards the face so the s curve falls gently around the face. Start your curls from the top of the cheekbone so the movement adds visual texture and volume."

And if you really want to go full Lover, add some pastel temporary colour to the ends of your strands to complete the look! Or add some hair jewels and butterfly clips.

Midnights hair.

Marie says: "To create this open wave movement, apply your holding product and thermal protector then blow dry your fringe forward with a round barrel brush, using a warm setting. Next, use the cool shot button to hold the curve in the fringe, or you can pop this section of hair in a roller. Then, take a medium to large section of hair away from the face and flat wrap around a curling wand and hold for 30 seconds then release. Use texture dust or powder through the hair to create this grunge rock chick look."
