The hidden meaning in Taylor Swift's Grammys outfit.

Taylor Swift has made her arrival at the 2025 Grammys and her look was not to be missed.

The Tortured Poets Department singer arrived at the venue in a fire engine red one-shoulder mini dress, custom-made by British label Vivienne Westwood

Known for their superior corsetry, it's no surprise the Westwood look featured a boned corset and dramatic draping, giving the dress a vampy edge that the brand is so known for.

Swift is no newbie to wearing this British label. In fact, Westwood designed her dress for The Tortured Poets Department section of the Eras Tour, which was also a corset-based dress with voluminous white draping.

It's a cute nod to her current album, we couldn't help but focus on one detail that had nothing to do with the dress.

Swift decided to accessorise her look with a gold chain around her thigh, adorned with the letter 'T'.

The chain featured ruby teardrop accents and the T itself was adorned with rubies. There's no denying it was a curious addition to the glittery ensemble. What does it mean?

Well, Swifties were quick to theorise that it is a tribute to her partner, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

On her album The Tortured Poets Department, Swift has a song called 'Guilty as Sin'. It's about her thinking of a new man and daydreaming about them being together. In the song she sings, 'What if he's written mine on my upper thigh only in my mind?'

Fans concluded that the placement of the T-chain was likely a reference to this lyric.

They also called back to the Reputation song 'Call It What You Want', where she sings, "I want to wear his initial on a chain round my neck, chain round my neck, not because he owns me. But 'cause he really knows me."

Together, these lyrics suggest to Swifties that the chain may be a romantic tribute to her partner. Of course, we also can't go past the fact that she's wearing red, the colour of the Kansas City Chiefs.

While many fans believe that the chain is a subtle nod to Kelce, others have said it could also be a representation of the Reputation album in general.

While the album is known to be represented by a black colourway, Swift did wear a black and red outfit for the Reputation section of the Eras Tour, and 'Call It What You Want' is also on that album.

Could Swift *still* be teasing a potential re-record of this album?

All we have to say is that at this point, it's more likely to be about Travis than it is to be Reputation, considering that she has extended her trademark for the album yet again, a deadline that she has been kicking down the road since February 11, 2021.
