Taylor was on Tinder at the airport when she had the most awkward moment of her life.

This, friends, is a cautionary tale of when Tinder and real life collide.

A woman by the name of Taylor Stagg was about to board a plane earlier this week when her flight was delayed by three hours.

Like many before her, she thought she might kill some time by judging potential matches on Tinder.

Only, she should have spent more time conducting a thorough risk assessment and adjusting her location settings before swiping left on a man sitting RIGHT BEHIND HER.

But alas, she didn’t and things got awkward.

“Minding my own business swiping through Tinder and the guy behind me goes ‘ouch hard no for that one?'” the Oregon woman wrote in a Twitter post.

“And I turn around ONLY TO SEE THE MAN I JUST SWIPED NO ON BEHIND ME.”

After her Tinder fail got so much attention on Twitter, Taylor elaborated on the awkward conversation that ensued.

“So I turn around like ??? What ?? He goes I’m pretty sure that was my Tinder profile but it’s fine.”

“I’m pretty sure my whole body was pale I was so embarrassed and then conveniently the loud speaker came on announcing final boarding for some random flight and the guy was laughing at me and I was like oh that’s me have a nice day!!”

“Proceeded to run and hide in the bathroom for 45 minutes and never saw him again.”

Aside from learning the hard way that an airport bathroom is a truly terrible place to spend any extended period of time, there’s one lesson we can all take away from Taylor’s experience.
