Tammy Hembrow's relationship is one of the most followed on Instagram. And it just ended.

One of the country’s most followed influencers, Tammy Hembrow, has announced her split from her almost-equally famous fiance Reece Hawkins.

In a video on YouTube, released a month after speculation regarding the state of their relationship began trending on Twitter, Hembrow said the two had split in the last “month or so”.

“The reason I haven’t spoken about this until now is because we’ve still been trying to figure out stuff on our own,” she said. “The whole situation is very confronting and I hate talking about it.”

Hembrow, 24, and Hawkins, 23, became parents at the age of 20 after just a few months of dating. They now have two children together, Wolf, two, and Saskia, one.

“One or two months ago, I decided to end things with Reece. He didn’t cheat on me, I didn’t cheat on him. It wasn’t like that at all,” she said.

“Obviously, we’re human and we’re not perfect, we have ups and downs like everybody.

“I don’t want people to think we just gave up. Most people know relationships are very complex.”

Hembrow, who has over eight million followers on Instagram, went on to say it’s “a super hard situation, especially where there are kids involved”.

“Everything is just a million times harder than a regular breakup.

“We love each other very much, and our kids are always going to come first and their health and happiness are always going to be my number one priority.”

In a YouTube video in 2016, Hembrow spoke of how she first found out she was pregnant.

“Wolf was not planned, he was definitely a little surprise.

“When we found out we were both in shock, I don’t think I could even speak and Reece looked like he was going to pass out. After we processed the initial shock we were both really excited.

“Saskia was planned, we were like well, let’s just get another one out of the way so then Wolf has a little friend to play with. I didn’t realise how hard it would actually be but it’s so worth it, I’m glad we have both of them. They’re the most beautiful, amazing thing that’s ever happened to us.”
