Take a look at the first trailer for season two of Strife, the TV show inspired by the story of Mamamia.

Strife is back for season two with new additions to the cast, and a series of new plot twists for Evelyn Jones, played by Asher Keddie.

Inspired by Mia Freedman's memoir Work, Strife, Balance, written and adapted for screen by Australian screenwriter Sarah Scheller and produced by Made Up Stories (Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers), the series is set in the early days of publishing and digital media.

Season one of Strife centred on Evelyn building her women's website Eve, all while navigating motherhood, the end of her marriage, public cancellation, and keeping her staff on track as they walked the unknown and treacherous path of online publishing, all while attempting to keep their tiny office roof over their heads as they hunted for advertisers.

In the Strife season two trailer, the stakes are higher than ever before, with Evelyn Jones facing the threat of a new rival women's website launching (led by her former employee) and the constant harassment of a nasty troll calling out her hypocrisy and privilege.

All of which lead Evelyn to double guess her instincts right when she needs to be on her A-game.

Season two also sees Eve Life expand into a fancy new office and the team venture into podcasting, but Evelyn soon learns that she needs to find an investor fast in order keep the ship afloat. At home, she's still birdnesting with Jon as the pair explore dating again… but with other people.

The new season of Strife will see more of Australia's best talent added to the already star-studded cast with Mary Coustas (Acropolis Now, Rake), Karis Oka (The Deb, Population: 11), Nathan Page (Underbelly, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries), Dylan Alcott (Bump, The Set) and Tim Minchin (Upright, The Artful Dodger) all joining the cast.

The new faces will join returning cast members Matt Day, Tina Bursill, Emma Lung, Jonathan LaPaglia, Alex Dimitriades, Maria Angelico, Rhys Mitchell, Olivia Junkeer, BeBe Bettencourt, Bryony Skillington, Darcy Tadich, Willow Speers, Lucy Ansell and Lincoln Younes.
