It's been two months since Steven Tougher's death sent shock waves around the country.
The 29-year-old paramedic was allegedly stabbed while on a meal break in Sydney in April, leaving behind his pregnant wife and son.
Now, NSW Ambulance has announced Tougher's wife, Madison, has given birth to their baby girl.
In a post on social media, they shared the couple's daughter, Lily-Mae Stevie Tougher, was born on Thursday, May 18, "weighing 4.1 kilograms and measuring 48 centimetres".
"Madison and Lily-Mae, and big brother Kobi, are doing well and the extended family is very excited," the post reads.
"Madison reports her labour and birth were peaceful and calm, just like Steven’s personality."
NSW Ambulance added "a photo of Lily-Mae will be shared in due course".
Tougher, who had just married Madison in March, was nearing the end of his night shift on April 14, when he and his colleague decided to get breakfast at Campbelltown McDonalds in Sydney's southwest around 5.30am.
Tougher was sitting in the back of the ambulance he and his colleague were working from, when a 21-year-old man allegedly pulled back the ambulance door and repeatedly stabbed him.
He was rushed to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition but later died.
