It turns out cheaters have one thing in common: their star signs.

While most of us have been spending our time considering horoscopes to be not much more than a guilty pleasure in the Sunday paper and don’t look too deeply into the mystic wonders of astrology, it turns out we really should have been paying closer attention. Particularly when it comes to choosing a life partner.

In news we can honestly say we did not see coming, it turns out there may be more rhyme and/or reason to why people cheat than we previously thought, and it happens to involve when you were born.

New data from Australian dating website Victoria Milan found substantial correlations between those likely to cheat and the star sign under which they fell.

Analysing data from thousands of its profiles, the website, which caters to married and attached people looking to cheat, discovered that throughout the course of 2016, 10.9 per cent of its cheating users were Aquarians, while 10.1 per cent were Pisces and an even 10 per cent were Aries.

Of the twelve zodiac signs, the data also found Sagittarians to be the most faithful, with just 6.5 per cent of their members being born in November and December.

Interestingly, Scorpios and Leos are considered to be two of the most sexual star signs, but with some of the lowest site registrations, proved they are the least likely to cheat.

Explaining the findings, founder and CEO of Victoria Milan, Sigurd Vedal, said Aquarians "are hot blooded, sexual characters and can’t be blamed for what’s written in the stars."
