Hold onto your remotes, because Stan is about to drop your next binge-worthy obsession.
This City Is Ours, a gripping crime drama starring the legendary Sean Bean (yes, the man who dies in everything… except this, hopefully?), is premiering exclusively on Stan on June 4 with all episodes dropping at once.
So what's it all about? Set against the gritty backdrop of Liverpool, this eight-part series dives into the world of organised crime with a love story at its heart.
The story centres on Michael (James Nelson-Joyce), a man who's spent his entire adult life in the criminal underworld. But everything changes when he falls in love with Diana (Hannah Onslow) and suddenly sees a future worth fighting for.

Michael and his friend Ronnie Phelan (Sean Bean) have successfully been smuggling cocaine directly from Colombia into Liverpool and beyond for years.
But when a shipment mysteriously disappears, their criminal empire begins to crumble, setting off a chain of events that will test loyalties and put everyone in danger.
The series boasts an impressive lineup of talent alongside Bean, including James Nelson-Joyce (Bird) as our protagonist Michael Kavanagh, Hannah Onslow (Empire of Light) as Diana Williams, Michael's love interest, Jack McMullen (Hijack) as Jamie Phelan, Ronnie's son, and Julie Graham (Shetland) as the matriarch of the Phelan family. Additional cast members include Laura Aikman, Kevin Harvey, Saoirse-Monica Jackson (of Derry Girls fame), Mike Noble, Bobby Schofield, Darci Shaw, and Stephen Walters.
