The days are getting lighter and the flowers are starting to spring into action. Yep, winter is finally ending and the warmer months are within our reach. September is the perfect time to trawl through the cupboards, clear the clutter and start things a fresh through a little bit of Spring Cleaning.
This September Cancer Council NSW is encouraging individuals to spring clean for a good cause by selling your preloved possessions through an online sale, car-boot sale, vintage market, or a good old fashion garage sale and donating some or all of the proceeds to help fight cancer.
Why Sell It For Cancer? Sadly, cancer is a disease which doesn’t discriminate. Affecting one in two individuals by the age of 85, we all know someone who has been through cancer – it could be you, your mother, your brother or your best friend. Turning your old stuff into someone else’s treasures is a fantastic way for individuals to make a personal difference in beating cancer.
Model, actress, designer and environmentalist Annalise Braakensiek knows all too well the affects of cancer after sadly losing her Father and Aunty to the deadly disease.
Now extremely passionate about fundraising to fight cancer, Annalise, a Cancer Council NSW Ambassador is encouraging individuals to sign up and sell it for cancer this September. To show her dedication to the cause, Annalise has chosen to donate 25 per cent of her online jewellery sales from her signature jewellery collection “Annalise” to Cancer Council NSW throughout September.
