'I urgently need to discuss Spencer and Heidi's most unhinged storylines on The Hills.'

It's time to party like it's 2009 because Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are having a moment, 15 years after The Hills was cancelled.

Heidi's music is soaring the charts and Spencer has cemented himself as the voice of reason amid the horrifying fires that have decimated huge stretches of Los Angeles.

Of course, it's not all happy news. The couple, who got married in 2009 and went on to welcome two sons, Gunner and Ryker, have lost their home during the Pacific Palisades fires.

With the very bad comes some good, though, as the couple has been enjoying a resurgence in fame for their candid social media videos documenting life after the fires.

For real ones — aka superfans of The Hills, like me! — we've been here since day one, and have loved Speidi's antics for decades.

It's time to go back to where it all began and remember some of the couple's most chaotic moments on the '00s reality show.

Heidi had to confront the harsh realities of adult life.

Let's not forget that for a whole season of The Hills, there was no Spencer at all: he didn't appear until season two. Instead, Heidi was dating some man no one remembers named Jordan. What a time!

Even before Spencer, Heidi was an agent of chaos, like that time she told her advisor at school that she didn't want to work her way up in PR, but rather, just wanted to be a 'fun party girl' in LA. Or when she showed up at Lauren's Teen Vogue party without an invitation, demanding to be let in.

My personal highlight was when she started her first full-time job at Bolthouse Productions (after dropping out of school) and had to grapple with the concept of working a 9-to-5 job.

She hilariously sat in her cubicle on her first day, adding 'Start work' and 'Finish work' to her calendar each day. Huge mood, Heidi.

Spencer dated Audrina at the same time as Heidi.

Okay, now we're talking! Spencer has arrived. He was introduced at the start of season two as Heidi's boyfriend, but there was one awkward problem.

This man was, very much, trying to date Audrina at the same time. He even showed up to her office with roses, which sent Heidi into a meltdown.

Heidi faked a pregnancy to test if Spencer was loyal.

Classic! In an unhinged scene on The Hills, Heidi tested Spencer's commitment by telling him she might be pregnant. In fact, she had already done a test to discover she wasn't, but she wanted to make him sweat and make sure he had legit feelings for her.

He wasn't thrilled with the little gotcha moment!

Watch the hosts of Cancelled play the moment. Post continues after video.

Spencer painted graffiti all over their wall.

Season two ended with Heidi moving out of Lauren's apartment and in with Spencer. As a result, Spencer proved to be an unpredictable housemate.

Spencer enlisted a famous graffiti artist friend to paint a big-as-hell Hollywood mural on the white wall in his and Heidi's apartment. Heidi was left fuming and later painted over it with a roller, which somehow ended in Heidi being the bad guy.

The sex tape rumour.

Season three was dominated by the feud between Lauren and Heidi.

It all kicked off with an explosive confrontation between Lauren and Heidi at Les Deux nightclub, where Lauren delivered the iconic line: "You know what you did!"

This stemmed from rumours that Spencer and Heidi had allegedly spread about Lauren having a sex tape with her ex-boyfriend Jason.

The drama with Heidi's family.

Spencer had multiple controversial moments with Heidi's family, most notably when he told Heidi's sister Holly that their mother was nothing more than "the vagina who created them".

His relationship with Heidi's family became increasingly strained throughout the series, making for painful viewing as Heidi became estranged from her mum and sister.

Heidi got fired.

Spencer constantly interfered with Heidi's 'job' which, umm… was never an actual job, but let's keep it moving.

One time, Spencer showed up uninvited during Heidi's business trip to Las Vegas, begging her to let him move back in. This created an awkward situation with Heidi's Bolthouse boss.

Heidi was finally fired when she got a little too drunk at an event she was working. Stay relatable, my good sis.

Heidi's many (and we mean, many) plastic surgeries.

On the first episode of season six, Heidi unveiled a whole new look.

She underwent 10 procedures in one day including: an eyebrow lift, nose revision, fat injections in her cheeks, ear pinning, lip injections, chin reduction, breast augmentation, back shaping, and inner/outer liposuction.

When Heidi revealed her transformed appearance to her mother Darlene, she couldn't hide her horror. As Heidi asked if she 'looked good', her mother responded that she thought Heidi was "much more beautiful before" the surgeries. Yikes.

Heidi tried to adopt her neighbour Enzo.

As Heidi became obsessed with having a baby in later seasons, she annoyed Spencer by practically adopting their bratty next-door neighbour Enzo.

The truth behind this bizarre storyline is even funnier than what played out on The Hills. Enzo was actually a child actor, and the house shown on TV was Enzo's family's residence, not the Pratts' home. In reality, Spencer and Heidi lived in a completely different part of Los Angeles.

The magic of reality TV, folks.
