For normal folk, the most common type of humiliation comes in the form on remembering things that a.) we once wore or b.) we once had as an email address.
But for Sophie Monk, she finds this feeling in the form of her own music. Even songs that the rest of us used to like and took to number one.
Monk was minding her own business on Saturday, dining at a local Sydney cafe and enjoying the weekend.
But it wasn’t long before her peace and quiet was rudely interrupted by something that had her red with embarrassment and shuddering with regret. It was her debut single, Poison, hitting the radio once again. You might remember it, it went a little something like this:

Monk posted a video on Instagram following the debacle, showing visible signs of being uncomfortable about hearing the song that once spent two weeks at number one on the Australian singles chart.
Instead, Monk found solace in the drink that was right in front of her, refusing to indulge the friend that kept enquiring what song was playing over the speakers.
She my have distracted herself, but she couldn’t fool the rest of us. Here’s hoping the song does a full 360 and comes back to our radios.
