Two decades ago, Sophie Ellis-Bextor was everywhere with 'Murder On The Dancefloor', and while she's chosen to pursue other ventures, her hit track has once again taken off thanks to the film Saltburn.
The disco-pop tune plays during the final scene of the movie, where the film's lead Barry Keoghan dances nude, and has kicked off a TikTok trend with Sophie taking part herself.

The movie has introduced the song to an entirely new audience, and over 20 years later, 'Murder On The Dancefloor' is sitting at #8 on the first UK Singles Chart of 2024.
The impact of the film has been enormous for Sophie, who for the first time, is a Billboard Hot 100-charting hitmaker.
In response to her resurgence, Sophie told BBC, "It actually feels really magical. And if I'm honest, I don't think I've completely processed it, really. It’s extraordinary. It's a song I've been singing for over 20 years; I still love singing it."
She continued, "I love the way people react when I do it live. But for new people to be discovering it, for it to be making new memories with people is kind of beautiful."
