But it’s okay because he got McDonald’s. And bubbles.
Hamish Blake and Zoe Foster-Blake spent their Sunday evening in the emergency department at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne after their one-year-old son, Sonny, sliced his thumb open.
But it’s okay, because the staff at the hospital brought around McDonald’s cheeseburgers and bubbles for their patients
Zoe, 35, took to Instagram to thank the staff at the hospital.
Alongside a photo of Hamish, 33, and Sonny, she wrote:
“Boy split thumb open. Boy very sad. Boy in emergency. Boy have painkillers while he waits for doctor. Boy happier now. Boy thinks bubbles are very funny. Boy is the best boy. Side note: RCH and its staff are phenomenal. This was a super minor injury, especially compared to some very unwell kids in there and we are so grateful for their help/bubbles/drugs.”
Hamish also shared a photo on Instagram of the experience, with Zoe holding Sonny as he looks adorably sad.
He wrote:
“I just want to thank the professionals that turn up to the Royal Children’s Hospital every day and literally save and change lives by serving emergency cheeseburgers to families in a timely and hot manner. (Also doctors and nurses you are the best people in the world).”
Good to see you’re okay, Sonny.
